38-40 how long did it take you to conceive?

My totally non scientific poll!

Desperately want dc3 and am slightly thinking about age counting against me.

Please share your experiences!

6 months at 39 x

First month at 36.
Third month at 42.

Sorry op. I had 2 before I was 36 and failed completely on no3, been trying since 39, no joy. 3mc along the way.

We've let it go now tho we still aren't using protection. Never know, we might get one good egg!

One month at almost 38, eight month at 41.

One month for our second, at 38. As opposed to six years for our first at 32.

One cycles (6 weeks) at 39. Two cycles (9 weeks) at 41.
With our first attempt at 35 it took 18 months! (Mmc though), then second at 37 it took 4 months (dd1).

...I'm a little nervous that my fertility seems to be increasing with age!

One month at 39 (compared to nine at 36)...

I am 40, 41 in July. Been TTC number 3 (with new DH) since November 2015 when I was 39, so coming up to 18 months. Not so much of a sniff of a BFP. Conceived DS1 at 31 and DS2 at 33 pretty much immediately. We've done 5 IUIs, 2 with clomid, still nothing. We are planning to do IVF in the next few months, IF I can get my head around it. Good luck.

6 months at 38. First child and I had medical issues that affected fertility. Concieved again at 39 but unfortunatley it wasn't to be.

DC3 at 37 was first cycle

DD took one shot at 37 (DP was gutted, he'd been envisaging lots of shagging). Trying to persuade him we can't wait much longer for a second, as I am 39, but he seems to think we can wait until I am 42 with no problems

I was 38 and got pregnant with dc4 after having sex 3 times.

Four years with DD (33 started, 37 conceived) had lots of tests but no real reason, then five months with DS (41), as with PP also more fertile as I got older!

38 I was pregnant when I returned from honeymoon. Aged 40 I was pregnant after about 3 goes

19 months at 32/33/34
9 months at 35
2 months at 38!!

got pregnant twice in that age range despite using contraception! Doctor said there is often (not always, and not to be relied on) a peak in fertility at this age as your body can release multiple eggs per month to 'use them up' before menopause

5 months at 41

Only one dc. Conceived at 39 after 13 months of trying - but trying as in downloading an app telling me, based on my periods, when was best to dtd. No temping, vitamins, opks etc. Never tried to fall pregnant before.

15 months at 33-34 (ds1 born just afterI turned 35)
8 months at 37 (ds2 born just after I turned 38)

Conceived 3rd DC at 37 (38 when she was born) on second cycle - first cycle for first 2, at 32 and 34. I'd say that given you have already conceived twice, your chances are high - best of luck!

1 month at 38 for DD1
6 month at 40 and 41 (both MMC's)
8 months at 42 for DD2

We got there in the end and feel very lucky indeed. Good luck!
