38-40 how long did it take you to conceive?

My totally non scientific poll!

Desperately want dc3 and am slightly thinking about age counting against me.

Please share your experiences!

1 month, 2 months, 6 months (between 37-39)

2 months at 36 2 years at 38 just scrapped in with my DS in December before I was 40 in Jan.

3 years to conceive dc1 when I was 36, and conceived dc2 at age 40 on the first attempt! Good luck: I am currently boggling over whether to try for a third now I'm 41!

I started ttc no 2 at 36. My DS was conceived after 1 month off the pill when I was 25 so I was anticipating any problems. DD was finally conceived when I was 40 and born when I was 41

41 about 20 mins (twice but the first didn't implant)

First month at 38

First month at 38 and 39 but both mc 's then 18 months before we gave up trying and promptly conceived Ds3 at almost 42,

Took 3 years with dd1, had her when I was almost 38, dd2 was the first month and had her aged 40, we only had sex once and I showered straight afterwards so was quite surprised, I think the determination gene was well embedded and she's still the same now aged 2 whereas my 4 year old who took 3 years to conceive is a lazy so and so!
I wonder if my body worked its way through all the lazy gened eggs first and saved the feisty buggers for a last ditch attempt?😊

6 months at 37 but tbh we didn't really know what we were doing until I read a book and realised there was an 'optimum' time for dtd each month . Once that was sorted, conceived the following month.

1st try at 42 - like a PP - much to DH's disgust as he was hoping for lots of 'trying'
