I know it is London and the prices are super ridiculously high, but i think that is a sad and depressing looking flat for half a million pounds.

It almost looks to good to be true.

it looks a bit bland - I like the kitchen and bathroom but the rest is a bit meh!

I like the 2 windows in the lounge, and the kitchen looks nice. Love the balcony!

If you have young children them banging about on parquet flooring on the top floor may cause neighbour issues.if you have 2 or 3 teenagers one bathroom may be a squeeze.

I like the subway tiling but I'd need to decorate.

I think if you like it buy it. I don't and (to be true to form) you could buy something soooooo much better where I live... with room for a pony. Or six.

Assuming the price is fair, looks a nice flat. Would be good to put a chair or something on the balcony to show it is big enough to sit out there - if it is.
I think the first photo has been elongated as the white chair and cushion don't look right. Would be better if it was not.

I like it for London, kitchen is lovely. As others say it's quite plain but that's no bad thing. If selling I'd try and get a plant on the balcony to show it gets some.

Well, at 733sqft it's smaller than our two up two down but the windows really make it and, while narrow, the kitchen isn't lacking in storage (I've seen worse in 4 bed new builds)

The rooms are all good sizes, living area seems spacious (for London) with the bonus of the kitchen being separate. Nice area, good transport links. All looks modern and clean; kitchen and bathroom look new and even if you don't like the decor it's liveable.

I've just been to view it, and I really liked it. It has a lot of light coming in, and the rooms are all a fairly generous size.

I'd be buying it with a sibling (if we did decide to buy it), and there is a possibility of renting out the third bedroom on Airbnb, for example.

Nigella the service charge is £1800 per year. This includes heating and hot water, but not electricity or the Internet.

It's really peaceful and quiet as well, which I liked, and very secure. There is a locked gate at the entrance to the courtyard, and another door with a code on to enter the building itself, and the door to the flat is sturdy and double-locked.

It does look a bit grim when you walk into the building itself (the stairwell is concrete etc) but the owner of the block of flats (not the council, but a private owner) has already paid for redecoration works to the block.

I was pretty impressed with it as an ex-council property to be honest. And it's around 6 minutes' walk from Kentish Town road and Kentish Town station (Thameslink and Northern Line).

It seems more like a professional sharers' property than a family home. Three double bedrooms and fairly limited communal space = best for busy people who won't be around much. Also, as PNGirl pointed out, being an upper-floor flat with a lot of parquet flooring does not mix well with young kids.

Is that a flat roof, too? Is there decent attic space overhead? Depending on the set-up, being on the top floor directly under a flat roof can be a pain: too hot in summer, cold in winter.

I don't know anything about the area, but to counterbalance the inevitable 'London is insane' comments: three double bedrooms for 500k would be a fecking bargain around here (SW, z3). The nice thing about London is there are always even more ridiculously ruinous house prices just down the road.

It looks a good size OP. It looks ex- local authority to me so hopefully ground rent and service charges will be at a reasonable level.

I will admit that it's not a property I would buy personally, but it looks neat, decently decorated in neutral shades and seems fairly priced for area. I hate the tiling in the bathroom as I think it makes it look like an 80s public loo, but it's very popular and I'm in the minority there. Good luck!
