9 McDonald's Monopoly codes and not one win! Is it a con?!

How do you win? You type code in to the website, something spins, you move across the board then it says sorry.

Has anyone ever won anything but food/drink from this?

AIBU to think the codes are bullshit?

The codes you put in online are for cash prizes. I've entered dozens this time round and won nothing, but last year I won a fiver. We are eating more McDonald's meals than I care to admit A few years back, we got both the browns and won a wireless speaker too. But tbh it's mostly a marketing thing isn't it? The free food/ drinks are a nice bonus.

Ha ha, DD has sat this afternoon and put loads of codes in and won diddly squat. I've wondered if anyone has ever won the big prizes.

Look at eBay for tickets I spent some time looking at that. Most say 'parklane or Mayfair???' And you big not knowing

My kids have won 2 burgers and two mc flurrys in a week over Easter.

We were away and was easy tea on way home.

I have never been able to get to the point of being able to find out if my codes have won. The link always seems to fail. I too was wondering if this is a con .

I can't be bothered to check the codes - always give the tickets to some kids who are always happy to have them.

I've won a hot drink but nothing with the online game, but I've only been to McDonald's twice during the game. I was trying to get the 10 spare properties to get a free Now TV card but I've lost some so I have to get another McDonald's lunch before the end of the promotion.

Enter them very late at night to get a better chance of winning, lunch times or early evening no chance

I've won £5 on prezzybox, whatever that is, a free small fries/milkshake and 20% off a hotel. Last year I think I won a drink and a apple pie.

Won a £5 with online codes

they are silly. in the early 1990s there was a macdonalds promo where you won nearly all the time, shakes, burgers, fries etc, but you couldn't use them in the same store on the same day - there were people all over manchester touring macdonalds for weeks. By the end of it everyone in manchester, especially students knew exactly where all the macdonalds were and how to get to them on which bus routes and had developed a nice uber-familiarity with meeting friends in macdonalds- an amazingly successful promotion
