So yes, I probably am, and I was a saddo for counting but Grrgrrgrr

And charity shop shopping, a mate of mine got five lovely bits, 2 probably designer, for her daughter. I found some skuzzy grey joggers. For the same price

It's NOT FAIR

Boys like clothes too, or they would if their clothes were ever nice. And mums of boys like clothes.

There are ALWAYS more clothes for girls than boys.

I loathe a lot of them though

Boys clothing often lacks inspiration and doesn't lack hooligan skater boy influences!

SparklyGothKat · 01/03/2007 23:45

I know this feeling, I can get beautiful clothes for my girls, but getting clothes for DS is a nightmare, though now he is 9, he likes to choose his own clothes and tends to like punky clothes

colditz · 01/03/2007 23:45

yes and t shirts with "Asbo boy" and "Hooker Girl"

Primark and h&M are the only shops in my budget that I like

peacocks boys section is like being plunged into Nazi Germany.

hate those tops, why do people put them on their kids??

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 23:46

There is a distinct lack of stripes for boys too

I like primark, coz their jeans actually fit DS' skinny waist, along with tesco's

hunkermunker · 01/03/2007 23:47

Flame

I can always find stripes

choosyfloosy · 01/03/2007 23:49

Oh don't. Boy's clothes. The only ones i actually like are French or in Zara kids. And d'you know what? I feel slightly uncomfortable when ds is dressed in anything from Zara as it is too colourful. I feel a thrill of sad rightness when ds too is dressed in droopy grey fleece, droopy badly cut jeans and tiny football manager type black coat, as tbh he blends in. Dammit!

I must say though that, horrible though the boys costumes were in Toys R Us today, the girls section was even more horrible. Hence my thread to help me make another of my wonky and unconvincing costumes, but at least it will not involve a large gun or the logo of a current film.

hunkermunker · 01/03/2007 23:49

I buy clothes for DS1 knowing that they'll do for DS2 and I some nice things in the Next sale.

Oh I am a stripe whore

ds1 has a delicious red and white stripey hoody from primark. It was about £6!

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 23:52

@ the stripey hoody! Red n white stripe babygrow is my dream, but alas, never found one.

Oh and hunker - the fleecey rockets sleepsuit Only had in 0-6 when I tried to buy it so I still never got the thing

hunkermunker · 01/03/2007 23:53

Oh, bugger, Flame! DS2 still wears his (has it on now!), so that's not much good to you either!

colditz · 01/03/2007 23:54

FS I had one for ds2

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 23:58

Hunker - rub it in why dontcha?

Going near Primark tomorrow - i'll have another look. He'd probably still fit a 0-6 but not for long.

hunkermunker · 01/03/2007 23:59

I'll keep an eye out, Flame, when I next go near a Primark.

colditz · 02/03/2007 00:00

red and white baby grow.

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 00:03

That sounds familiar!

God my memory sucks!! Yup, last time I was whinging about them they would have been the same sort of size... DS is probably smaller than yours now

NotanOtter · 02/03/2007 00:03

brimfull · 02/03/2007 00:13

I have been trying to find a babygroor a top for a baby girl that is NOT pink and too girly.

Hate the sea of pink everywhere for baby girls

shag · 03/03/2007 04:13

h&m does tops and (babygros, is that what you mean?) for babies that are not girly.
