In woolies today, there were 23 different princess dresses - all aimed at girls, and 4 costumes for boys.

So yes, I probably am, and I was a saddo for counting but Grrgrrgrr

And charity shop shopping, a mate of mine got five lovely bits, 2 probably designer, for her daughter. I found some skuzzy grey joggers. For the same price

It's NOT FAIR

Boys like clothes too, or they would if their clothes were ever nice. And mums of boys like clothes.

Just think about dd's parents and the dilemma they're facing trying to choose from 23 costumes . I have to make a list of what costumes of my own DD has in case I end up buying a repeat costume for a birthday or Christmas gift - she has enough to dress the 12 dancing princesses single-handledly I think .

It does seem hard on little boys though - most of the clothes I see for DS's arent' very appealing.

Well they'd might as well get used to it now. In real life, men's clothes are as boring as hell and women's clothes are lovely and fun. There are plenty of compensations in being male. Think of how much they'll save on hosiery.

What ticks me off is this princess balls. When I was a kid, I had a fancy dress party, I went as a belly dancer, my friends went as Holly Hobbie, Dutch girl, Cat, etc, and the two wettest girls in my class who were best friends BOTH came as princesses and we laughed and laughed and bitched and bitched about them for being predictable, even though we were 6 and had no idea what predictable meant. Now it's all Disney Princesses b'locks. And another thing! All the new animations are unisex with a boy bias and the stuff the girls like, this princess bollocks, was once really good 'feminist' Disney like Beauty and the Beast and Mulan and proper drawings, and now the drawn ones are horrible cheap crap like Fox and Hound 2 and Cinderella 3, and that's because they know they have to spend the money on the 'boy' ones and girls will swallow any old crap with effing PRINCESSES in it. I like drawings and girl heroines, all the girl heroines ones are pretty good and I tire of CGI and I hate the way everything is infantile fart jokes and ugly shadowy '3D' at the pictures.

Where do you live where Woolworths is still in business?! I thought they all closed eons ago? Or is there another shop that goes by woolies?

Regardless, YANBU

This is a Zombie yet hilarious too - the kids may have kids of their own and Woolies has long since shut its doors permanently!

@miniaturepixieonacid @Thcc its from 2007. Quite the time capsule.
