Labia glue for periods?

I just read this on my newsfeed and am really shocked and angry. It's a "glue" designed by a man to shut the vagina during your period and then "opens" it up when you wee. It has been granted a patent but not on sale to the public yet. The "inventor" is a proper arsehole too.

I think it's a clever idea. But given his comments about women not inventing other sanitary products because they are distracted by their periods 25% of the time and that messes with their heads puts me right off giving him any of my money.

I think every new sanitary product seems weird when you first hear about it. But I would be concerned about how reliable this would be - imagine it suddenly failing and bursting every where! Or how healthy it is. I suppose in a way it is just creating a mentstrual cup from your own skin. But I wonder how hygeinic it is using the same stick multiple times....

I think it sounds quite practical tbh.
Just because something is invented by a man that's aimed at women doesn't mean they're bad.

After 2 second degree tears and numerous grazes I don't think I have anything left to glue together. I don't think it's a good idea at all. Imagine young girls gluing it shut for hours and then getting some kind of infection. Blood clots really quickly...you wouldn't just wee out blood, it would be massive clots.

Wouldn't work for people who bleed heavily surely ?

How strong is the glue? Too strong and it would be painful to move around. Not strong enough and it risks popping open if you bend over. Batshit idea, think I'll be sticking to the bodyform.

It won't stop the blood flow and it will only increase the possibility of infections. He should glue his prick first, this kind of stupidity shouldn't spread in our already rather damaged gene fond.
