It's the seeds!! They look like little clumps of insect eggs. Plus, I cut one open today and a mini baby pepper was inside...BOAK! (Not envy!)

I also hate holding a block of cheese Diana - I think it's the idea of my hands being left cheesy and concurrently making the block warm and greasy - I always have to hold it in the packet to grate it (often to the detriment of the end result as I grate the edges of the packet) and I LOVE cheese.

I buy ready sliced pepper for this reason. I accidently touched the seeds once when cutting a pepper up, ughhhh.
