After today's revelations about terror attacks in Sweden, AIBU to refuse to shop at a certain furniture shop which is clearly part of the problem with a name like AL IKEA? I believe that it's all part of a plot to cause us to become dependent on their meat balls and Billy bookcases.

I can't put my finger on why but I have a weird feeling it was connected to the Bowling Green massacre perpetrators.

ghostyslovesheets · 19/02/2017 21:25

YANBU OP I have locked our Billy Bookcases in the shed - I have dressed them in orange and I throw water at them at unexpected moments whilst screaming 'tell me what you know you bastards'

so far they are refusing to break ...

PacificDogwod · 19/02/2017 21:27

Yes, the Bowling Green Massacre, v sad if it had actually happened

CherylCucumber · 19/02/2017 21:30

Northernlurker · 19/02/2017 21:31

Do they have those Sudan chairs in al ikea? You know, the sort you can carry around, concealing bombs in? Clues in the name people, that's all I'm saying.

PacificDogwod · 19/02/2017 21:33

Will we be safe over night?!

Northernlurker · 19/02/2017 21:34

Pacific those bookcases need to be extraordinarily renditioned out of your house now!

Maudlinmaud · 19/02/2017 21:34

Ffs this put the heart out of me. Now I'm amused Grin

LaContessaDiPlump · 19/02/2017 21:36

Oh no! My children's bedrooms are FULL of items from That Store! Are they at increased risk of radicalisation?

LaContessaDiPlump · 19/02/2017 21:37

Just seen Pacific's post - I wasn't copying you, honestly!!

Now worrying that my cordless drill obsession has led us all down the road to doom.

Lushka · 19/02/2017 21:39

I just can't get my head around the fact he is president. It's like wandering into an alternative universe!

ThoraGruntwhistle · 19/02/2017 21:40

You know what IKEA is right? It does bookcases, and some of those books could be bad. SAD

mysteriouscurle · 19/02/2017 21:42

Those Al Ikea bastards Angry. Haven't the Swedes suffered enough?

wrongnumberEE · 19/02/2017 22:07

You're all laughing about this and I think that's really disrespectful to the victims.

According to local media they still haven't found out exactly who or why someone tried to take a shortcut here. #jesuissweden #prayforsweden

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 19/02/2017 22:10

Thankfully the only thing I have from that store is a stuffed hippo, although I'm looking at it very suspiciously now...

YouTheCat · 19/02/2017 22:10

I can build a full height Billy bookcase in 40 minutes by myself. I am clearly part of a terror cell and must be neutralised.

That's what I'm worried about. I don't think DH would be happy if I put it in his shed though. I may not sleep tonight.

novemberontrumpwatch · 19/02/2017 22:20

If you take the letters of IKEA and take some away, and add some others, you get ISIS. FACT.

Gingernaut · 19/02/2017 22:24

Well done OP for bringing this to our attention!

I'm safe. Believing that there's too much stuff in the world, I buy from charity shops except the table and chairs from John Lewis.

I have nothing from Al Ikea in my possession.

I'm safe from Swedish terrorists. Grin
