If you don't believe, that's fine.

But every time I've tried cosmic ordering, it has worked - from specific garden wishes as a child to marriage proposals as an adult.

Now I'm at a cross roads, don't know which direction to take my life and not dabbled with cosmic ordering for years. I suppose I've grown old and cynical.

So this morning, im sat bored at home and decided to give it a go. I have placed a cosmic order for the first time in years.

Anyone done it? And stories? I realise a lot of people will think it's shite which is fine, but be nice :-)

OP posts:
TheHodgeoftheHedge · 17/02/2017 14:35

This is all i can think of, i'm afraid!

TheRumTumTugger · 17/02/2017 14:36

How do you place a cosmic order? Like, what do you actually do?

ToastDemon · 17/02/2017 14:36

It's nonsense.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 17/02/2017 14:36

Do you order from a catalogue

BillyDaveysDaughter · 17/02/2017 14:37

Like a Cosmic Catalogue?

MirandaWest · 17/02/2017 14:38

When we needed to sell our house quickly, I did a cosmic order and it "worked". Being realistic it happened because we priced it sensibly and went for an estate agent who seemed to want to sell the house, but I quite like thinking it was to do with the cosmic ordering Grin

TitaniasCloset · 17/02/2017 14:53

Isn't it just the same as praying? Also if it works can someone order an amazing sexy man for me? Thanks.

Katy07 · 17/02/2017 14:59

It doesn't work - I've not had a big win on the premium bonds and I keep asking. I've found ordering on Amazon more effective (they don't do premium bond wins either but they do books and Lego so it's kind of close)

scaryclown · 17/02/2017 15:04

It hasn't worked for me yet..except it seems to have brought wave after wave of financial attacks!

carabos · 17/02/2017 15:10

Um, I don't think I do cosmic ordering but I do do affirmations and that definitely works. I'm an atheist, super cynical and super rational btw, I just started doing them because DH does. We can both tell when the other has been doing them too.

DrRichardKimble · 17/02/2017 15:12

Tbh I think it 'works' because you're focusing on that thing you want rather than it dropping into your lap. For example if you want a new car and 'put in an order' it will be on your mind. You might check the Internet to see what cars are available, what price they are etc. You start thinking about what cars you like. You might mention it to people and someone knows someone else who sells/is selling a car. The odds are now in favour of you buying a car because you're focusing on it. But then I'm just an old cynic Smile

BastardGoDarkly · 17/02/2017 15:13

How do you do affirmations?

How do you do cosmic ordering?

I'll give anything a go Grin

Sallygoroundthemoon · 17/02/2017 15:21

Hedge - thanks so much for the IT Crowd clip. Brilliant!

I suppose 'cosmic ordering' is a form of positive thinking which can help.

exWifebeginsat40 · 17/02/2017 15:24

Noel Tidybeard Edmonds does cosmic ordering. do you want to be like Noel Edmonds, OP? do you?

ArchNotImpudent · 17/02/2017 15:29

Other than the possible placebo effect of positive thinking, it is meaningless. I have tried it in the past for things that there was no particular reason I shouldn't 'receive' - eg. jobs in my industry - it had no effect at all. No amount of positive thinking (or whatever 'magic' is believed to play a part) can override certain obstacles (such as a better qualified candidate appearing for a job!).

Farandole · 17/02/2017 15:37

every time I've tried cosmic ordering, it has worked

So I guess you haven't ordered an end to the Syrian war, Hillary for president, or a permanent solution to the EU crisis.

You disappoint me, OP. You have let us down.

Cherryskypie · 17/02/2017 15:38

I find Ocado more reliable.

PortiaCastis · 17/02/2017 15:40

WTF is cosmic ordering, can I order up a man ?

Cherryskypie · 17/02/2017 15:41

That's Tinder Grin

JessicaEccles · 17/02/2017 16:00

So what about all those people who have incurable or terminal illnesses? Why aren't their wishes being answered?

Kleptronic · 17/02/2017 16:08

Isn't this that The Secret book? There's a woman in my work has been fervently ordering stuff for a decade. Although apparently if it doesn't work it's because you don't truly believe you deserve it. Or some such wibbly cobblers.

DameDeDoubtance · 17/02/2017 18:25

I am about to go out on a poke walk, I am putting in an order for a Snorlax now. I will report back.

laylabelle · 17/02/2017 18:26

TheHodgeoftheHedge exactly what went through my head! :-D

JenBehavingBadly · 17/02/2017 18:38

I do cosmic ordering, but that's because I am supremely powerful and I can control the universe through the power of thought alone.

My power is unlimited but works only for the righteous. I am currently battling the evil that is Trump though my mind powers alone. I'm even turning Fox against him.

Bow before me and I may help you out. I don't have a catalogue.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 17/02/2017 19:03

I tried to put the cosmos in order once, but entropy got the better of me.
Heck I can't even keep the children's Lego tidy.
