If you don't believe, that's fine.

But every time I've tried cosmic ordering, it has worked - from specific garden wishes as a child to marriage proposals as an adult.

Now I'm at a cross roads, don't know which direction to take my life and not dabbled with cosmic ordering for years. I suppose I've grown old and cynical.

So this morning, im sat bored at home and decided to give it a go. I have placed a cosmic order for the first time in years.

Anyone done it? And stories? I realise a lot of people will think it's shite which is fine, but be nice :-)

I think the secret and cosmic ordering are just variations if positive thinking.

The human subconscious is very powerful, if you focus on something enough, your brain will start offering up ways to get it. That's why believers in the law if attraction have to visualise getting and having what they want vividly, it sends messages to your conscious and unconscious mind that their is something you want that will your life. Your brain uses its subtle hints to make you more susceptible to opportunities that could lead to you getting what you want.

When I was in first year uni (doing very badly), I became obsessed with Paul McKenna, I realised I was asking my brain questions like 'why cant I do this' and 'why do I always make this mistake?'
After trying out the techniques I started saying things like 'how can I easily achieve this'- I noticed loads of solutions coming to mind really easily, and I acted on them and went from a failing to a first class degree in less than 6 months.

Years later I discovered the secret, and I thought to myself that all these people were just allowing themselves to fir what they wanted, and were using the natural genius of their brains to get it. With the universe giving them an extra helping hand- they had an extra burst of confidence to.

I ordered my husband via cosmic ordering and found him a few months later. I still have the piece of paper I wrote the order on and keep it in my wedding memorabilia box.

I was 36 and been in a string of failed relationships - starting to think there would never be 'the one' for me. On the 8th August 2007 I wrote out a request basically saying, "dear cosmos, I want to me a man and get married." I then listed the attributes I wanted him to have (honesty, free of previous emotional commitment, solvent, handsome (!), truthful etc etc. And said I wanted to be 'The one' for him and for him to be 'The one' for me.

I went out on the 27th Sept and met my husband. Neither of us felt much about each other on first meeting via friends (it wasn't a blind date - he was just a friend of a friend). But he was a nice guy and we stayed in touch on a friendly basis. Love blossomed! He's the love of my life and we got married 5 years ago. He's exactly as ordered!! Truthful, faithful and a rare and true gentleman.

I'm rare admissions to friends I show them my order (which I signed and dated) and most people are quite astounded.

I am not naive to believe in magic but I do think it's positive thinking.

I wrote my order on a piece of paper and folded it up and tucked it up behind a photo of a loved family member and forgot about it, and it happened when I least expected it!

RortyCrankle · 17/02/2017 19:46

Oh look it must work - Noel Edmonds launched a 'cosmic ordering' app for iPhone users to call on the universe for help in 2009 Hmm

Can you cosmic order more than one thing at once? Is is just for relationships and material things, what about health? Why am I even asking Grin

RortyCrankle · 17/02/2017 19:50

" I 'ordered' me on TV with Ant n Dec on Saturday Night Takeaway in less than 24hours. My facebook cover photo is evidence that it worked!"

The above is an extract from a review for a cosmic order book. So it works for really shallow stuff too, not just for the big problems in your life?

Butteredpars1ps · 17/02/2017 19:51

I find it works very well for parking spaces Grin oh, and I once ordered that "this time next year I will be on mat leave" reader, I was

DJBaggySmalls · 17/02/2017 19:53

It is like Ocado.

StarUtopia · 17/02/2017 19:53

Works for me!

Pretty much every time to be fair :)

wishparry · 17/02/2017 19:53

My mum used to swear by it.but I have tried several times myself with a positive attitude and I'm afraid it just doesn't work for me.

TheHouseOfIllRepute · 17/02/2017 19:56

Spirituality for the materialistic
Instead of praying for world peace or a cure for cancer they order a bigger house or a new car Hmm
Noel Edmonds is into it isn't he

leighb23 · 17/02/2017 20:09

Ooh, exwife, you sent a cool down my spine! Ugh. I mean, whoever would be so weird??!

leighb23 · 17/02/2017 20:09

Bloody hell phone, I typed CHILL!!

DameDeDoubtance · 17/02/2017 20:16

Just got back from a poke walk. I didn't catch a Snorlax but I did yet a rare egg that may contain a Snorlax, I will find out after I've walked 10K and report back.

I realise that unless you play pokemon go this won't make sense. Grin

ollieplimsoles · 17/02/2017 20:20

blodplod loved your story and I did something really similar- I wrote a cheque out for an amount of money from a publisher I really wanted to work with, few months later- bagged a job with them, and got paid a very similar amount to what i had written.

But although it does seem like magic, I think a lot of your good luck with your husband you have to take credit for yourself! You decided enough was enough with these bad relationships, you made a promise to yourself and wrote it down, exactly what you wanted, so tour mind was perfectly clear in what you were looking for.

There is a reason you chose to keep un touch with him, a reason you chose to meet up and get to know him, and a reason you chose to go the distance abs marry him- your amazing subconscious mind knew he was what you wanted, and it kept you on track.

Congratulations on your happy marriage !

QueenMortifauxcado · 17/02/2017 20:28

Grin Dame, I really want to know if you space star ordered a snorlax.

MrTumblesbitch · 17/02/2017 20:33

I used to think I had magic powers when I was younger - I genuinely thought that if I wanted something enough then it would happen. My dad had a massive heart attack and died when I was 21. I was in the back of the police car following the ambulance and I remember thinking that I knew he was dead because I couldn't will him (through the cosmos or whatever) to be alive.

To be honest it really fucked me up and I ended up needing a lot of therapy for it - there is something quite egotistical about thinking we can control the universe isn't there?!

For people who still believe, please will you put me an order in for Honey spare ribs tonight? I am craving them!

bookworm14 · 17/02/2017 20:36

It's offensive bullshit which implies that if bad things happen to you, it's your fault for not being positive enough.

Montezumasrevenge · 17/02/2017 20:40

I used to think I had magic powers to make bad things happen. Now I am a certified grown up I realise I have anxiety Sad

Worrying about things before they happen makes them infinitely worse when/if they do happen. Feeling alright about the world makes things easier to cope with when they come my way.

That, to me, is what cosmic ordering is.

Verticalvenetianblinds · 17/02/2017 20:43

I just did this, specifically to win £100,000 on a scratch card. Went to the shop, bought one (gotta be in it to win it) won £5.
I'm gonna take that as a win for cosmic ordering, and a big bar of chocolate for me!

Blodplod · 17/02/2017 20:56

Ollieplimsoles.. I agree, you are right that subconsciously my mindset changed in the type of relationship I wanted..

I, was truly and utterly surprised and side winded falling in love with him as he was soooo not 'my type'. It turns out my previous 'type' was a fuckwit or total cheating bastard!! I never knew I could fall in love with a 'nice' guy! Magic or not.. it worked.

I don't believe you can order a lottery win but I always order car parking spaces and get them in the most difficult places! Love a cosmic order!

tsonlyme · 17/02/2017 21:05

I've done it lots of times 😄

I think the success rate is very much dependent on a mixture of good luck, positive thinking and confirmation bias. Does work for parking spaces though - I call that zen parking 😁 What harm can it do?!

The same only time I did it with any serious intent was when I really needed more money coming in, I think it simply opened my mind to looking for opportunity and when I was offered a slightly better paid job a few weeks later I leapt at the chance rather than think of the possible negatives.

EastMidsMummy · 17/02/2017 21:05

FFS.

ComicSans · 17/02/2017 21:07

Exactly what bookworm said. All those infertile people who don't order themselves up a nice baby because their thinking isn't 'positive' enough. All those people who die of cancer because they don't want to live enough. Those refugees who didn't remember to take their copy of The Secret with them when they fled Aleppo. Who with an IQ bigger than their shoesize would believe something so cruel and stupid?

SilenceIsBroken · 17/02/2017 21:11

I used to work with a man who was adamant this worked. He was 42 and still lived with his mum.

Salmotrutta · 17/02/2017 22:44

I can't quite get my head around the fact that some deluded people actually believe this shitstuff.

DameSquashalot · 17/02/2017 23:01

Please can you put in an order for my neighbour to turn down his tv...
