To ask how much TV you watch?

Not your DC, but you and your DP.
We probably watch too much, when our DC go to bed at 7:30 until we go to bed at around 11pm, The tv is on.
Sometimes I have a show on and DH is reading and vice versa but we do watch a lot together.
How much do you watch?

As much as possible

Not as much as I'd like to
Its probably on between 8-11pm but in that time we're doing other stuff, tidying up, eating dinner, showering etc so not for all of that time

(But I have a one year old and no dp so once I've managed to get him to sleep I just want to zone out)

8-10pm most nights. Too tired to do anything else once ds is in bed 🙁

Nothing together. We have completely different TV tastes.

I watch occasional programmes. Maybe one or two a week. Call The Midwife this week and that's it. I prefer the radio or reading.

8-10/11 most nights here too.
Don't watch any during the day. DD watches a few things between 4-7pm
Mostly music here, YouTube or CDs etc.

One or maybe two hours per week. I'm just not keen on most TV. I'd rather read or listen to the radio.

Not much in general, apart from right before going to bed - I need the TV to make me sleepy :) When I was breastfeeding a lot - as it's difficult to do anything else for 30-40mins at a time!

Not much as I tend to go to bed with DS at his bedtime and then either read/faff with the iPad. I have 3 things I'm watching at the moment so I try to watch the new episode of those each week and occasionally I'll watch TV with DH for a bit but tbh I get sleepy pretty quickly.

We rarely watch actual TV (as in being broadcast there and then).

We watch University Challenge on Mondays, usually as it's being broadcast.

We watched Strictly and The Apprentice when they were on.

We watch Netflix quite a bit. I think probably a couple of hours per night.

We're troughing through The West Wing atm, we watch telly every night til about 9.30/10.00 pm.

We've also got a lot recorded when WW is finished.

None at all

We used to watch at lot but sort of lost the habit a few years ago when reality shows took over and other programmes became so dumbed down with constant repetitions of information that would have made a 15 min programme being stretched to fill an hour

Not much bar TBBT and Modern Family. I live in Spain, tv is beyond diabolical

I've been on my own since last Tuesday when my DP went away to work. I watched GP's behind closed doors on Wednesday and that's it. I have spent a stupid amount of time on MN though.

When my DP is home it's another matter. He constantly has the tv on watching CSI, Lewis, Wallander, Silent Witness, Homes Under the Hammer and lots of other programmes. We do watch University Challenge, Only Connect, Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow together though.

It always seems to be on in the background, even if it's a music channel from when we get home from work/school. I need to start turning it off!

Now I know this is going to sound really odd, but I NEVER watch TV ever, live that is, in front of the TV.

Each to their own I suppose. But I record lots of stuff that I really am interested in, that won't be on youTube immediately, for watching when I need a chill out session. Then OMG the TV tells me that the recordings are FULL! lol.

Just me I suppose, and no offence to anyone else, but live TV is mind numbingly boring to me.

March to november i watch the formula one coverage on channel 4. Only about a third is live so mostly its just the highlights of qualifying on saturday (i fast forward the half hour at the beginning discussing how the free practices went) and then the highlights of the race on sunday (typically 1 hour)
The weekends they're airing it live i dont watch the firdya sessions, just qualifying, usually not turning tv on til the actual time they do the sessions, and same with the live race, i don't watch the hour race build up. Other than that i dont watch any TV at all, but i do watch netflix through my playstation, or on my laptop.

I'll watch films on DVD probably once or twice a week, but weeks can go by without my watching any live TV programmes at all. Unless something catches my eye in the TV guide, I don't bother to switch it on.

If it's a weekday evening at home, usually 8-10 we'll be watching something, but usually something recorded or Netflix / Amazon Prime. Don't often watch live tv.

i used to watch emmerdale and casualty, but i stopped both when my mum died as i watched them with her and my dad and sister wouldnt let me have casualty on as it really upset them the medical setting, death etc
sporadically watched hollyoaks but havent for years and i usually watched it all at the end of the week online on catch up. We downgraded our tv package to the basic to save money, so the channels i used to watch (investigation discovery and crime and investigation network) i dont get anymore. If i still had those, and if the horror channel hadn't become repetitive, i'd watch a lot more tv.

Very little other than the evening news and documentaries!

We don't watch any live tv (or catch up). After we put DS2 to be, we usually watch a couple of episodes of whatever we're currently watching on Netflix (Gilmore girls at the moment). Tonight we watched a film on now tv (money monster). Sometimes we read or mess around in the internet instead. Or DH might play the PS4 while I read.

There is not much of interest on in the evenings, so today for example the television hasn't been on since we watched the news this morning. I do watch Holby, and DH watches that detective thing on Thursday evening. Sometimes watch reruns of Midsomer Murders.
Daytime TV is our guilty secret and we watch Father Brown if we are home, and A Place to Call Home (Aussie drama on BBC2). We do watch the news channels sometimes, and Channel 4 news.
