As I said - no room for facts. They want all immigrants out. No welfare programmes or food stamps or assistance of any kind. Medical insurance only for those that get off their ass and get a job and earn it. Gun rights fast and loose.

I know so many that think this, it's scary.

Lweji · 04/02/2017 16:47

Yes, two Americas.

One for the Constitution and the other for the Trump. It looks like the Republican Party is for the Trump now, but it is likely to backfire spectacularly for them. Unless they can achieve total destruction of the Constitution and initiate a true dictatorship.

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 16:47

Seneca Grin Not picking a fight, just messing aound. I'm a home edder.

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 16:48

around... and I can spell too, when my ds2 isn't trying to explain how to make a pizza in my ear. Grin

Lweji · 04/02/2017 16:48

Ah, yes, the correspondents dinner.

Not sure they should boycott. They'll just fill the room with sycophants.
I'd go and boo, or slow clap, and not laugh at any jokes.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/02/2017 16:49

oh goodness, new thread! Home again. and I can confirm that the rain did stop the instant the speakers began to speak. Well, ermmm about 40 minutes in I think Grin

lovely to meet Badgers with her wonderful signs and family!

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 16:49

oh FFS. He's explaining it in my ear... not making a pizza in my ear. Oh hell, you know what I mean.

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 16:50

When was the notional date set for 'Cascadia Rising' by FEMA? February 6 ? It would be ironic if that panned out..........

CaveMum · 04/02/2017 16:50

Angry Spice make Josh Lyman look like a briefing room genius.

A spot of light relief

Roussette · 04/02/2017 16:50

So Jared & Ivanka talked Daddy out of signing the LGBT EO. Hmmm... I kinda agree with this tweet...

"Call me cynical but seems very likely that "sources" portraying Jared & Ivanka in an heroic light are actually Jared & Ivanka"

and

"Kind of tired of these self-serving leaks by Ivanka and Jared trying to portray themselves as moderate and reasonable. They are the chief enablers of Donald Trump. There is nothing "socially liberal" about that. They're just trying to preserve some sort of public persona post POSTUS."

They are not liked out here at all.

BiglyBadgers · 04/02/2017 16:51

Hello 'badkitten* was lovely to meet you too. Glad you made it home safe and sound Grin

Roussette · 04/02/2017 16:53

BadKitten Well done!

(and were you the one with the huge poster saying "STAR SPANGLED WANKER" ?) Grin

merrymouse · 04/02/2017 16:54

From Conway's point of view I think initially she was doing her job - getting her candidate elected.

We might think her previous clients like the NRA are lunatics, (they are completely beyond my comprehension), but apparently some relatively sane people think they have a point. (However, my only reference points are fictional characters like Diane's husband in the goodwife and Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec, so maybe that is rubbish...).

However, how do you defend or control Trump now? His previous success in business and entertainment has been based on fooling some of the people some of the time. Now, she and Spicer have to face the people who aren't fooled - how do you do that?

MoonriseKingdom · 04/02/2017 16:54

A bigly placemark and a bigly thank you to bigly and anyone else out protesting today. #bowlinggreenmassacre #neverforget

Formerpigwrestler9 · 04/02/2017 16:54

perhaps the wall will actually be a "wall"?

SenecaFalls · 04/02/2017 16:55

Ginger No fight here. Smile

I admire anyone who can teach their children at home. I would have lasted about a week if I had tried it.

TheSnowFairy · 04/02/2017 16:56

Place marking with the biggest wall.

And you dudes will pay for it. Fact!

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 16:58

Yes. I fear we will pay for it, Snow.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/02/2017 17:00

That wasn't me Rousette, but that one was awesome Grin I won't display mine as it will out me. I like to pretend no one in real life recognises me on here!

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 04/02/2017 17:02

Just to put it in context, the Gone with the wind poster is a rework of a satirical poster that did the rounds way back in my yoof, only with Thatcher and Reagan.

Roussette · 04/02/2017 17:04

Yes, totally agree BadKitten, I'm the same. I saw the poster on a live feed and laughed Smile

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 17:04

Seneca I worry that it will slide into the same argument as the brexit, as it's those more rural, more midwestern that are often the biggest supporters. I don't want it to be characterised as "hicks" and "stupid people." Lots of his supporters are well educated people - which is why I don't understand why they can't see through this. Or can they and they don't care as they have an agenda? I just don't know. It baffles me utterly. My relative - yeah, I get why - they're an arse. But they're not all that way.

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 17:05

And I don't mean from you personally - I mean in general.

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 17:06

You want frightening? Read this. I fully expect an EO about it soon anyway.

Lweji · 04/02/2017 17:09

Quite a few people in the US will always vote GOP regardless (as in other countries where some people are politically faithful). I don't think they'd ever thought he'd be this bad and that it was just campaigning.
