Why is it when someone starts a thread asking 'if your 5'2 how much do you weigh?' Or 'if your 5'2 what dress size are you?' Everyone chimes in even if the question doesn't apply to them?

' I'm 5'8 and wear a size 4'
' I'm 10ft2 and weigh 5 stone'

WHY?! It's no help whatsoever! Ok rant over. Grin

OP posts:
Cosmicglitterpug · 17/01/2017 17:26

I'm 5 foot 2 and weigh 9 stone and wear size 10.

Tru fax.

FlyingElbows · 17/01/2017 17:33

Lol, because mn attracts some right weirdos who love nothing more than to bang on about how they're 18 feet tall, a size -67 and weigh a horrifying bloaty 17 grammes and anyone who isn't them is a freak! I may be exaggerating but you get my drift.

MapMyMum · 17/01/2017 17:35

FlyingElbows haha!!! Yes that's exactly it!

Allthebestnamesareused · 17/01/2017 19:48

I'm 7 ft 5 , weigh 1 st 2 and wear a size 24!!

cherrycrumblecustard · 17/01/2017 19:51

The hey ho doubters get to me.

"You're 5'2, 9 stone 10 and wear a size 12? Really? I'm 7 foot and when I weighed 9 stone 10 I was definitely size 18 but hey-ho.'

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 17/01/2017 19:55

A lot of people like to show off about being slim, and since it's not really a socially acceptable thing to do they take the opportunity when it's presented.

LucklessMonster · 17/01/2017 19:58

The plum I just ate was about 2 inches in diameter.

I'm not far off Navy

DJBaggySmalls · 17/01/2017 20:09

Perhaps they wear an outrageous size in hats?

Helloitsme87 · 17/01/2017 20:11

I'm 5ft2 I don't know how much I weigh....

MargotsDevil · 17/01/2017 20:16

I'm 2 stone heavier than I've ever been before yet am wearing a size smaller than I was at my previous biggest size. I put it down to significant weight loss followed by serious health issues meaning weight all went back on plus more but in different places....

allchattedout · 17/01/2017 20:20

9 st 2 at 5 ft 2 DEFINITELY makes you a size 14. Fact. I refuse to listen to any other opinions on this. If you try to tell me that you are a 10 or a 12 with those stats, you are lying. There is just no way.

Mollyringworm · 17/01/2017 20:25

I'm 5'8" and 11 stone and wear a size 10 in m&s, 12 in next and 18 in primark..

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/01/2017 20:25

For me, I suspect it is a bit of neediness - I just want to be part of the conversation. Sad, I know.

bonnymnemonic · 17/01/2017 20:27

It reminds me of recipe reviews where the person says, "I followed the recipe exactly, but swapped the butter for coconut oil, added a handful of basil, omitted the mushrooms, doubled the chilli and skipped the last step. Wouldn't bother making again"

Emmageddon · 17/01/2017 20:29

Oh the stealth boasting of the naturally slender, or newly slim...I would be the same, if only it were true. Wink

I'm 4ft 14inchs and 63502.9 grams. Gods honest truth Grin

HarryPottersMagicWand · 17/01/2017 20:34

Uh, YANBU OP. I always think this exact thing, and did today on the thread this is about. Grin

I am the height mentioned in that thread, I have no idea how some posters are a stone or 2 more than me and apparently the same size.

derikthesheep · 17/01/2017 20:35

Allchatted why not? I'm 5ft 2 and I used to be a size 10 in every shop at 9 stone 2. Now at 10 st 10 I'm a 14. Just to do with weight distribution

tobee · 17/01/2017 20:35

I agee with SDT. See what I did there?

StrangeLookingParasite · 17/01/2017 20:37

I find it so braggy, all these people telling you how you can't possibly eat/weigh/do that, as if people weren't infinitely variable, and different things work for different people.

StrangeLookingParasite · 17/01/2017 20:40

No, your experience isn't wide enough to make that statement.

SickRose · 17/01/2017 20:40

Navy and cherry just gonna throw this out there. But I'm 5 2 and I weigh about 13 stone now and I'm 12 on top and 14 on bottom. Weight is a strange thing!
