Why is it when someone starts a thread asking 'if your 5'2 how much do you weigh?' Or 'if your 5'2 what dress size are you?' Everyone chimes in even if the question doesn't apply to them?

' I'm 5'8 and wear a size 4'
' I'm 10ft2 and weigh 5 stone'

WHY?! It's no help whatsoever! Ok rant over. Grin

It's the weight distribution! Back when I was slimmer I weighed 10st but was only a size 8/10 on the bottom. Most of the weight was my gigantic boobs! Sadly I'm just large everywhere these days Grin

CommunionHelp · 17/01/2017 20:45

I followed the recipe exactly, but swapped the butter for coconut oil, added a handful of basil, omitted the mushrooms, doubled the chilli and skipped the last step. Wouldn't bother making again

Same here. Except I didn't make it and bought a Waitrose goats cheese and beetroot salad, and ate it while watching a documentary on French pastry chefs. YABVU though.

I'm 5ft 6.

chocolateworshipper · 17/01/2017 20:52

I am 6 foot 3 and weigh 5 stone

However, I do live on Mars where there is very little gravity

EmbarrassingBaddie · 17/01/2017 20:52

StrangeLookingParasite I am pretty sure she was joking

You should have put "Discuss" at the end of your post.

allchattedout · 17/01/2017 21:01

Allchatted why not? I'm 5ft 2 and I used to be a size 10 in every shop at 9 stone 2. Now at 10 st 10 I'm a 14. Just to do with weight distribution

Sorry, I thought it was obvious that I was being sarcastic. Of course it's to do with weight distribution and muscle mass etc. But I see so many posts about how 'you can't be a size 10 at 11 stone' and similar (yes you fricking well can). But yeah, sorry for the confusion. I obviously do not think that.

Mollyringworm · 17/01/2017 21:07

Just wanted to point out that size 10 in a non-stretchy pair of say, tailored trousers isn't the same as a size 10 in a pair of leggings or Lycra-encrusted jeans - just as a size 10 in m&s is like a 14 in primark. I suspect a lot of it is down to the kind of clothes you wear.

allchattedout · 17/01/2017 21:46

I'm 5'8" and 11 stone and wear a size 10 in m&s, 12 in next and 18 in primark

Must admit I find that surprising because I have never found Primark to be small on its sizing. Not to that extent anyway. I would imagine you being pretty slim at that height and weight and cannot imagine you needing a size 18.

cherrycrumblecustard · 17/01/2017 21:49

Navy, I don't know! To be fair 14s fit, I have a round but very squishy middle area, smallish boobs, chunky thighs - I'm about 10'12. I think you'd probably find you could get into 20s?

cherrycrumblecustard · 17/01/2017 21:49

10s!

TathitiPete · 17/01/2017 22:15

I'm 5ft 4 and these pretzels are making me thirsty.

Mollyringworm · 17/01/2017 22:18

allchattedout I was exaggerating slightly to get a cheap laugh - but personally I find primark extremely small and everyone I know says it too. I think it's because the cheap prices mean they have to cut down on the fabric or something and the last thing I bought from there was a size 16! (And it was stretchy)

HalfaFishFingerAndTwoPeas · 18/01/2017 12:42

Tathiti I don't understand how you can be 5'4 and be thirsty from pretzelsHmm I'm 5'4 and they don't make me thirsty. Just don't think it's possible sorry.

Why if you want a discussion I'm happy to start one for you!

I'm 5"4 and don't like pretzels. I don't believe you can be 5"4 and like pretzels.
