Rather than having a go at them on Twitter and describing them as second rate actresses. Hmm

Otherwise some people might just think you're a bit sensitive.

If that's how he's going to react when people call him out on things, he's going to have a very long 4 years in the White House

Just reading the last pages of this thread. Rufus is there room for me in the corner as well? we can be scared together.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 10/01/2017 21:49

Ignoring the daftness that seems to have suddenly appeared on the thread.... he is so full of anger constantly. It is normal for even lovely people to have vocal critics. He should be rising above it, not attacking. Hasn't he got a press conference to prepare for tomorrow, along with the various people being sworn in etc.

InformalRoman · 10/01/2017 21:49

"Trumpers" - it's evocative of a really rotten stench, isn't it? Smile

Roussette · 10/01/2017 21:51

Topcat could be claig except for the absence of links links links, endless links, usually repeated ad nauseum. And she hasn't mentioned Robert Peston yet, who is claig's new fad!

Talk about nepotism, Trump's son in law takes on a senior position in the Administration. If it's allowed... there are those who are objecting I think.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 10/01/2017 21:52

Yes there is sing

I have just got to the rocking stage...has topcat gone now?

Olympiathequeen · 10/01/2017 21:52

When will someone tell him to show some dignity and stop tweeting? It's puerile at the best of times and he never makes anything sound other than petulant and childish. At least Obama did it with style. still shouldn't have done though

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 21:52

Trumpeteers? A much more appropriate name for the people's champion and their glorious revolution against the elite.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 10/01/2017 21:53

Oh god!!! Shock

InformalRoman · 10/01/2017 21:55

There's a new business for Trump to go along with Trump vodka and Trump steak - Eau de Trump, a heady mix of swamp water and Moscow mule.

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 21:57

Its not nepotism Roussette, Trump appoints supporters and people he trusts as a lot of his appointees. He knows what is needed to drain the swamp of the "very, very stupid people" and the best person for the job happens to be part of his family. Who else is he going to appoint, the Oxbridge PPE establishment who have sneered at the people for so long?

Megatherium · 10/01/2017 21:58

Topcat hasn't managed to bring herself to replicate the disablism, so she's definitely only a pale imitation. Or a faulty Trumperbot.

Roussette · 10/01/2017 21:58

Good one Informal along with his Trump clothing line - all made in Asia... yeah he certainly supports the US of A!

Roussette · 10/01/2017 22:01

TopCat don't get too excited, as yet his son in law hasn't divested himself of enough of his business interests to take the post, and the Ethics Committee are looking into it.

Nepotism = the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.

Don't think you can deny that one if it happens.

Lweji · 10/01/2017 22:04

Who else is he going to appoint, the Oxbridge PPE establishment who have sneered at the people for so long?

Well, yes, because he can pick the establishment elites that are not establishment elites.
You know, find the hay in the haystack.

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 22:05

I know what it means, the etymology of it is from the Italian nepotismo, which itself is from nipote which is nephew and makes reference to privileges given to the ‘nephews’ of popes, who were lots of the time their illegitimate sons, particularly during the 3 Medici popes era.

Roussette · 10/01/2017 22:12

Yes exactly Topcat. So we're agreed that is what he is trying to do - surround himself with family and friends.

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 22:16

No just with the best people possible! Kennedy had his brother has Attorney General and look how much they achieved, Trump will do even more for the people and pull down the elites, in Davos they are quaking in their boots because Trump has a trusted crowd and won't let any of their "very, very stupid people" in to try to stop him. There is no stopping the Trump Train, so get out of the way.

NotTheDroidYoureLookingFor · 10/01/2017 22:19

I live in the US. The sound you're hearing is me thumping my head on the desk repeatedly for the next four years.

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 22:22

Trump and his people will be in power far longer than 8 years, I expect one of his children to win after that.

The establishment and elites are done for ever, the people are in charge now.

InformalRoman · 10/01/2017 22:22

"Kennedy had his brother as Attorney General".

And that's why LBJ brought in the nepotism rules Hmm.

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 22:24

Ah but LBJ was a tool of the elite, they just want to keep their own people in, Trump has won and they are out forever.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 10/01/2017 22:25

Ivanka is getting rid of her businesss so she can join her father in politics

You dont suppose they have hopes of the first female president..

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 10/01/2017 22:26

Trump isnt "the people"

He is one of the elite

Roussette · 10/01/2017 22:27

I remember Dolly the sheep being cloned, I didn't know we'd managed it with humans! claig/topcat!

squoosh · 10/01/2017 22:29

Topcat is doing an admirable impression......and yet....it's still not quite zealous enough 😄
