Rather than having a go at them on Twitter and describing them as second rate actresses. Hmm

Otherwise some people might just think you're a bit sensitive.

If that's how he's going to react when people call him out on things, he's going to have a very long 4 years in the White House

On the inauguration, I hope they don't do that shower with little bits of paper. And I hope they don't use golden paper. Wink

Roussette · 12/01/2017 08:30

This article just about sums it up for me.

I just don't understand how Trumper doesn't understand or get the feedback about his press conference. How can he think it was great? I've been all over t'internet since and I can't find one positive article on it. Everyone in a new job has to learn as they go along, and being POTUS is no different. But he won't learn anything will he... he just seems happy enough to alienate everyone. Where's the good press on yesterday?

Roussette · 12/01/2017 08:31

Thank God we don't bother with such ceremonies. All that happens is the new PM gives a short speech outside no.10 , they walk in the door and start work.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 12/01/2017 08:42

The inauguration is going to be 'softly sensual'!? Uurgh. Now I have a mental image of Trump standing at the podium in a bath towel offering to give the audience massages.

MsHooliesCardigan · 12/01/2017 08:55

Roussette I think our way is a bit boring and could do with jazzing up a bit. I think there should be a talent show running alongside the next GE campaign and the winner gets to perform on election night with a bevy of well known performers headed by Peter Andre.
it feels like watching a far fetched political drama and then, every now and then, I get a jolt and think SHIT THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!!!

originalmavis · 12/01/2017 08:56

I'm rather looking forward to the tatfest.

originalmavis · 12/01/2017 09:00

I am so ashamed that the orange git is half Scottish. Amused of the coverage of Milenas ex(? I suppose she's am American citizen now) compatriots whooping and hooting at their success. Very quiet in Scotland though - apart from the sound of palms slapping foreheads.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 12/01/2017 09:00

Softly sensual trump. Terrible, terrible.

The Trumpers on FB lurveeee it.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/01/2017 09:02

I feel a bit sick Envy

amispartacus · 12/01/2017 09:02

"We had a great News Conference at Trump Tower today. A couple of FAKE NEWS organizations were there but the people truly get what's going on"

Wow - I do wonder if he ever listens to feedback from people who he trusts?

Or does he believe his rhetoric?

It sounds almost pornographic..can you imagine what he thinks that will be? Black satin sheets, rose petals, fluffy handcuffs, baby oil, scented candles... and Trumper himself in his red silky boxers with sheets on them doing a little sexy dance.

squishysquirmy · 12/01/2017 09:08

Good grief mavis it's far too early for that kind of talk! You put me right off my breakfast. Envy

dibbley · 12/01/2017 09:09

When I was younger a softly sensual Trump was known as an SBD (silent but deadly).

derxa · 12/01/2017 09:10

It's all so depressing.

RedToothBrush · 12/01/2017 09:30

You know his press conference went really well for him don't you? You are not seeing what others are seeing. He won the press conference. The media lost.

Lweji · 12/01/2017 09:32

I'm very disappointed. It turns out that Colbert made absolutely no jokes about that number 1 issue on the reports.
No, nothing, zilch. Not even a wee comment.

Lweji · 12/01/2017 09:33

You know his press conference went really well for him don't you?

I suppose it could have been worse.
All the press could have stood up and do the nazi salute or something.

HateSummer · 12/01/2017 09:38

It's like I'm watching an actual real life spy thriller. Is this really happening? Every day I'm more dumbfounded by this tremendous shit...he's the elected president? 😱

InformalRoman · 12/01/2017 09:50

The press conference went well for Trump because he could just dismiss the dossier as fake news (it is after all unverified) and he didn't really answer any new questions. In fact if you read the transcript, he mostly didn't answer the question st all. Trump fielded the press, he wasn't really put on the spot. And we all know that he is a master in lying and gaslighting - it comes naturally to him.

RedToothBrush · 12/01/2017 09:51

Lweji, you are being a bit premature there. Give it a couple of months.

Lweji · 12/01/2017 09:54

InformalRoman

I'm sure it went well in his head and any die hard fans (no names).
I'm sure he feels he was masterful.

Dulra · 12/01/2017 09:56

It is all so utterly depressing. Yes we can ridicule him, pull him up on all the nonsense he talks about, pull him up on all the lies, pull him up on all his racist, misogynist, homophobic, ableist statements and actions. But none of it seems to be making any difference whatsoever. He is still going to be inaugurated on Jan 20th, he is still going to be POTUS and he is still going to put our world and our security at risk for the next 4 years (and possibly 8 Shock) nothing seems to bring him down. It really feels like he will get away with anything and that is a very, very scary thought and possibly a defeatist one but it is how I am feeling at the moment Sad.

derxa · 12/01/2017 10:04

He is not an orator to say the least Grin and Obama is a brilliant one. I hope for all our sakes his team is competent. Reagan was president but seemed to spend half his time asleep.

RedToothBrush · 12/01/2017 10:09

Follow the money and you get to the bottom of things.

The press got distracted. It's notable Trump did not answer a single question about money or tax.

No one has pinned anything about financial impropriety on him at all yet. Not once since he decided to run.

That's where the story if there is one really is.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 12/01/2017 10:10

What do people mean when they say they hope the people around him are 'good' or 'competent'?

We know who he is surrounded by and these are not good nor competent people.
