Why would you eat pears full stop?? It's like eating a mouthful of grit / sand!! I'll stick to a good old Granny Smith thanks

Hmmm...first world issues?as it goes,I hate pears(they taste hairy)I haven't projected it onto the kids.first tastes were peeled.does it matter?

The skins can be bit tough so I'm a peeler to just get the nice soft fruit
