I confused him with Martin Sheen, and therefore assumed it was something to with standing against trump.

I hope he's going to run for political office somewhere, and shake things up.

But I do suspect his relationship with SS was already over, I doubt he'd just up and leave someone with whom he was happy to go home and pursue 'the cause'. If they were still together, surely they'd be talking about trying to make it work long distance or something.

But that's none of our business, of course. I'd like to see him in politics, I'd vote for him.

If he stood as an MP I think he'd win.

I always got the impression he never fully settled in California. I think he remained there to be close to his daughter with Kate Beckinsale. I guess that the daughter is old enough to travel between the US and the UK on her own now.

Good to see a celebrity walking the walk.

Although bad for me as I have an inexplicable crush on him and I quite like finding things he's in so I can spend time looking at him.

Good for him. He has great integrity. I'm really pleased that he's coming back to Port Talbot, it would be so easy for him to become a London or US based activist, but coming back to Wales shows that he wants to be taken seriously imho.

Can't think of any local MPs due for retirement. There were a few retirements last time round.

That also assumes he'd stand for Parliament and if so implies Labour as Aberavon and most of the nearby seats are Labour (at the last election). Who knows at the moment.
