a future leader perhaps?

He is brilliant. Fantastic Bliar and fantastic Brian Clough. He morphs into them. Totally amazing actor.

Llareggub · 17/12/2016 23:09

He has been at several south Wales events recently. I had wondered why...

UnGoogleable · 17/12/2016 23:30

I would assume Labour, but I wonder would he go for Plaid at all? Their leader Leanne Wood has tweeted congratulating him on his decision.

I agree it will be a loss to the acting world if he quits entirely - he's a very talented actor.

SwedishEdith · 17/12/2016 23:48

He tweeted this earlier.

Before this gets ridiculous I said I'm thinking I might start acting less and maybe even stop for a while at some point but don't know yet.

BestIsWest · 17/12/2016 23:48

Hmm, apparently he's tweeted

SoggyDays · 17/12/2016 23:50

Oh dear. Stuck with Kinnock jr then.

EekAmIBonkers · 18/12/2016 00:00

I bleddy well adore this man.

Ambivalentmum · 18/12/2016 00:04

What about 'Masters of Sex' though? Really good show and he is brilliant in it. I thought there were a few series left in it, but it looks like it could be shelved now Confused

Ambivalentmum · 18/12/2016 00:06

I have he will still be acting, Best! Grin

UnGoogleable · 18/12/2016 00:14

The cynic in me suggests that this is a fabulous way to get publicity, when in fact he might have just split up from his girlfriend, had enough of LA and decided to move home for a bit.

Quitting acting to sort out politics sounds way better!

LouiseBrooks · 18/12/2016 00:21

I still love him. My aunt lived in Aberavon and we used to go for our summer holidays. Fabulous people.

whattodowiththepoo · 18/12/2016 00:59

Finally an actor with a political opinion.

EekAmIBonkers · 18/12/2016 08:41

Oh I loved him in Masters of Sex.

DiegeticMuch · 18/12/2016 19:37

Masters of Sex was cancelled a month or so ago. Season 4 (which very recently ended its run in the US) will be the last, disappointingly. S4 won't be shown on UK television so I'm holding out for the DVD. Great series.

I wonder what would happen if Sheen stood as an indie against Stephen Kinnock in Aberavon. I always thought it was a cheek that Labour parachuted a Kinnock into that safe seat. How vocal and dynamic was he about Tata, I wonder. If the answer is "he wasn't" (and I genuinely don't know the answer) then he could be vulnerable I suppose.

I like him too, but according to this, the information is wrong:
