Not as exciting as it sounds, sorry!

But for the last few many years I have hosted a family-friends get together where all congregate, drink far too much, play random games and generally behave like six year olds

Problem is I have run out of ideas for games Sad

We usually play jenga, Lexicon, charades, Trivial Pursuit, but NEVER Monopoly following the 2011 tiff Wink and I could really do with some new games this year

Any ideas please?????

(Oh and we are all allegedly adults - late middle aged to early-twenties, no under agers here yet, though I still live in hope of grandkids one day! Xmas Grin)

Articulate is fun
Also get everyone to bring a wrapped recycled/ joke present around £5 and play bad Santa.

fussygalore118 · 03/12/2016 21:36

Oh and articulate!

HarpyFishwifeTwat · 03/12/2016 21:36

hyperhypermum · 03/12/2016 21:38

AprilLudgateDwyer · 03/12/2016 21:39

The logo game is good

DonaldStott · 03/12/2016 21:40

What about that pull a sausage game mentioned on a mn thread a couple of weeks ago.

DramaQueenofHighCs · 03/12/2016 21:40

Ok so.... May put me, but here is a list of games that my family (who has Boxing Day/New Years eve gatherings like yours) have enjoyed over the years:

Articulate (This is a family favourite!)
Cranium
Pie face (childish but fun!)
Noise charades
Taboo
Family fortunes
Countdown
Uno extreme or uno stacko
Hot potato
Bop it (set to 'pass and play')

That's all I can think of at the moment, but I know there's been many more! (If you want me to tell you what sorts of games they are just ask.)

Cherrysoup · 03/12/2016 21:42

Bananagram, love it. There's also a number game where you get rid of your tiles by creating new sequences. Friends brought it round, I was fascinated!

Elledouble · 03/12/2016 21:44

Bowl Of Fun

AndShesGone · 03/12/2016 21:45

The post it note game

Stick a post it note on the persons next to you's head with a famous person on it they have to guess via questions (male/female, pop star/physicist/actor).

It can be really funny.

SabineUndine · 03/12/2016 21:46

Beetle. You can play it drunk.

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 03/12/2016 21:48

Scattergories (sp?) Coz its the best game in the fricking world

Bluebiscuits · 03/12/2016 21:53

Moustache smash!

Jfw82 · 03/12/2016 21:55

Linkee

charleyfarleysaunt · 03/12/2016 21:57

I love you all Grin

Sadly exploding Kittens is coming up a bit too pricey on eBay Angry

But some of the others are excellent suggestions, also SabineUndine do you know me? "You can play it drunk" is going to win me over every time!

Cards against humanity is fab!

MissVictoria · 03/12/2016 22:01

Pictionary is always fun, especially if they get the "kosher" card! I actually managed to guess that one and i was about 13. Nobody on their team believed our team would get it and one guy had volunteered his wife to stand naked in Debenhams window if one of us did. His face was a picture :P

rollonthesummer · 03/12/2016 22:04

Linkee!
