After his remarks relating to the football abuse in saying that they are 'not real men' who are coming forward because they should have dealt with it when they were bigger and stronger - IMO Bristow is a total and utter idiot
who should be banned from 'playing' darts (note I do not say 'competing' by
his federation.

YANBU, he has deleted some of the tweets now. A lovely blend of victim blaming and homophobia. I was expecting him to start claiming his account had been hacked this morning.

ilovesooty · 29/11/2016 10:41

He's a revolting thick knuckledragger. His victim blaming is indefensible and I think he should be sacked from his position as a sports commentator with immediate effect.

stitchglitched · 29/11/2016 10:59

Sky Sports have sacked him. Good.

ilovesooty · 29/11/2016 11:07

Good. I should hope so.

WorraLiberty · 29/11/2016 11:11

He's an absolute wanker.

Good riddance to him.

wigglesrock · 29/11/2016 11:13

He's an absolute prick, I could list the adjectives I'd use for him, in fact I've been doing so all morning. He has so angered me.

Greengoddess12 · 29/11/2016 11:14

Yes they have sacked him.

He should publicly apologise to all those victims and then piss off for ever.

tictactoad · 29/11/2016 11:16

No messing. Good on Sky Sports.

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 29/11/2016 11:18

What a vile example of a human being.

JaneJeffer · 29/11/2016 11:18

What a horrible thing to say. I saw the men who were abused on TV the other night and it was so upsetting.

I don't know why he has a job doing commentary anyway as it was practically impossible to understand a word he was saying.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 29/11/2016 11:19

YANBU.

Brian Moore replied in a very dignified way imo.

CaraAspen · 29/11/2016 11:20

Of course YANBU. The man is a moron, clearly.

RachelRagged · 29/11/2016 11:23

Never liked him ,, this validates that dislike .

ElsaAintAsColdAsMe · 29/11/2016 11:23

He fully deserved to be sacked Angry

No doubt he will be the next arsehole trying to rescue their career in celebrity big brother.

BakeOffBiscuits · 29/11/2016 11:38
Angry

What a cunt. unfortunetly I think he won't be the only "real" man who thinks like that. I'm glad he's been sacked as they will all see how totally unacceptable this way of thinking is.

squoosh · 29/11/2016 11:38

He's a despicable creature.

redshoeblueshoe · 29/11/2016 11:46

Its attitudes like his that helped all those bastards get away with this.
I'm pleased Sky have sacked him.

SquatBetty · 29/11/2016 12:01

Saw those tweets yesterday and so glad to hear now that Sky have sacked him. What a totally thick fuckwit he is.

Mrsemcgregor · 29/11/2016 12:21

Dickhead. Needs to crawl back in his hole.

AgentProvocateur · 29/11/2016 12:27

He's a despicable thick Neanderthal. I'm glad he's been sacked. I hope his dick falls off.

sassymuffin · 29/11/2016 12:40

He is clearly a vile individual. How he also uses the word 'poof' in place of the word paedophile gives further insight into this ignorant disgusting excuse for a human.

LouiseBrooks · 29/11/2016 17:10

As ugly inside as he is out. Vile, vile man.

OurBlanche · 29/11/2016 17:21

To be fair, he is what he is! He has never been any different. A man of a certain age, a 'real man/cockney!?' who was accused of DV, earns his money playing darts - with the whole oddly divorced from reality thing that brings.

He has never been all that reconstructed.

Best of all is that his rank stupidity and loathesomeness reminds us all that such people exist, male and female. We can now remember to look for them, not be surprised when they pop up and can, therefore, be better able to tell them to FUCK OFF when they do!

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 29/11/2016 17:25

It takes a special kind of bastard to publicly say what he has said.

He said something about you'd never get rugby players whinging about this. This is despite former England hooker and commentator/pundit Brian Moore - nicknamed The Pitbull in his playing days - bravely talking about his own experiences of abuse a few years ago. Luckily Moore is an eloquent man and has shot Bristow down in flames.

Really glad he has been sacked. If he had any decency - he hasn't - he would donate some of his enormous wealth to a charity which helps survivors or childhood abuse to apologise..

Lostpangolin · 29/11/2016 17:26

Absolutely unbelievable, and there was some fuckwit on R2 defending his right to hold and voice an opinion. I'm pretty sure I'm a real man , but would hate to be associated with his opinions in any way, shape or form.
