HUGE HUGE apologies to a reasonably recent OP who posted about paracetamol .

I did not think there was anyone out there who didn't know about the risks of taking too much / medicines that contained paracetamol but seems I should have looked closer to home.

I never stop being gobsmacked by how many people never bloody bother to read ANYTHING. Medication, cleaning products, DIY kits...

Soubriquet and not just Drs, nurses, dentists, gynaes etc too plus I've moved around a lot, notes take AGES to be transferred and when you tell them you need higher dose/stronger addictive med you get Hmm that look!

Soubriquet i know how you feel there! I've been left in agony in hospital because of this Angry

I'm currently suffering really bad back spasms. This is the second time I've experienced it. The first time was worse but this is bad enough.

Last time I saw a woman doctor and she was really understanding and gave me everything she could.

Went to the doctors yesterday with it and had to see a doctor who I absolutely hate. He's useless.

I went him, told him exactly what I had and what I needed. He said "hmm". Felt my back, made me do all these excercises which made them spasm worse. He then told ME it was a back spasm with a lovely little mansplain of what it was. He then prescribed me the exact same medicine I already have. When I told him they wasn't working and I needed something stronger, he went on mansplaining about how the medicines worked and refused to prescribe me what I actually need.

My Dh complained to the practice when I got home.

Currently still in alot of pain now

Lol sounds like a doc i saw who told me to get someone to 'rub my back' or have a warm bath Angry
Saw my gp a month later who straight away gave me muscle relaxants.
My first time seeing him in years, same doc who told me i had no reason to be depressed too Hmm

I asked a pharmacist this week how many days I could take lemsip for - I've got headache, bad throat, cotton wool head and now its agony when I cough and it's gone to my chest, I also have asthma, and I thought three days was the maximum. She said no, carry on as much as I need Confused. New symptom each day.
