To ask for a coffee machine for our bedroom

If not, which one? I love a morning coffee but never have time to go and make one before I tumble out of the house for work. I figure if I have a machine for my bedside table I can brew and drink whilst I get ready. Husband remains cynical but I may be able to convince him for Christmas. Any recommendations?

Well I have my babies prep machine on my bedside table, saves me time in the night and mornings to make his bottles - same kind of thing isn't it?! I would do it?
I take it you drink black coffee otherwise where will the milk go?!

I have a milk plan (an ice cold shelf in en suite), I'm slightly itchy about it but if it's mega-sealed it should be okay.

Maybe you could get a smart coffee machine which you can turn on with your phone and presumably set a time for it to turn on.

I haven't seen them but if there are smart kettles then these must exist!

Coffee mate would mean no need for milk? I've got a tassimo and I love it!

I hate coffee mate or plastic milk, my palette is just to discerning (I've just had bunless hot dogs for tea ) I do need proper milk in my coffee though. Love the idea of a swanky smartphone machine, hate that you're not sure it's been invented (bet it would cost a fortune anyway)

Firebox sell one you can conyrol with your phone, it is on offer at the moment I think for about £100. I would go with one in the bedroom myself though!

A Tassimo maker would be good for you. You have a disc containing a milky latte, cappuccino or hot choc and put it in the top. You dont need to refridgerate the discs.

I get up with 15 mins to get ready so one in my room would be great. I know I could get up earlier but my circadian rhythm struggles to adjust.

Just get a timer plug for £8ish and set it for when you get up?

My dh gets up and makes the coffee while I get ready. Would that be an option!

You can get filter machines with timers. We have one and the timer is set every evening so all we need to do is pour and go in the morning. Best thing we ever bought.

I have have one with a timer. It's timed so when I wake up the coffee has been made. Lives in the kitchen though as it's not exactly quiet and would wake me up

I have my Nespresso coffees black anyway, and I usually have milk with other coffees.

Alas DH gets up after me so that isn't an option. I have a plug timer but nothing to time as yet. Googling tassimo right now.

Actually I love this idea too. Small coffee machine on the side, couple of mugs, i drink my coffee black, so no milk issues, defo a great idea. Like a hotel room 😃

What about something like this . You can keep it in the kitchen but set the timer the night before. It even has a travel mug if you run out of time!

Ice blocks in a small lunch bag would keep milk cold.

In the bedroom? Why not the kitchen? Just pop and put the coffee on then get dressed

There is no way I would have a coffee machine in the bedroom. A bedroom is for peace, quiet and tranquility not a coffee machines

We have a tassimo and the milk pods for lattes etc are fine. The cappacino ones are presweetened which I dont like as I dont take sugar but the latte ones are nice.

It would fit fine next to the bed and take a couple of minutes to make a coffee, they are not too big either so you would have time to drink it all before you leave.
