To ask for a coffee machine for our bedroom

If not, which one? I love a morning coffee but never have time to go and make one before I tumble out of the house for work. I figure if I have a machine for my bedside table I can brew and drink whilst I get ready. Husband remains cynical but I may be able to convince him for Christmas. Any recommendations?

Good god no, not in the bedroom!

Have it in the kitchen. It's so easy to pop and put the coffee on or make DH do it then continue getting dressed etc

I have a nespresso machine on my bedside cabinet.
I just add fresh water when I go to bed and switch it in in a stupor in the mornings.
There's an offer in with nespresso at the moment so have a look at that

Pinkheart5915 · 19/11/2016 21:31

Why not just get one for the kitchen with a timer? That's what we have and by time it gets downstairs in the morning it's all ready.

I wouldn't want a coffee machine in my lovely bedroom

Tassimo do milk pods so if you want milky coffee thats the solution.

PopGoesTheWeaz · 19/11/2016 21:34

Clean up in the bedroom would be a faff

TheAntiBoop · 19/11/2016 21:35

If I were your dh I would not be happy to have the smell of coffee waking me up!!

CandleWithHair · 19/11/2016 21:40

This one is a billy bargain! Grin
It was in Gwyneth Paltrow's Christmas gift guide, which should tell you all you need to know.

I got DP this one:- www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00VROB1DS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479591635&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=timer+coffee+machine&dpPl=1&dpID=41rQK0u5wUL&ref=plSrch

You can use ground coffee, so you can use your fave.

Candle Thank you, best laugh I've had all day. Bless his pretentious little heart.

ThornyBird · 19/11/2016 23:27

I got a little lavazza modo mini one for my birthday last month after seeing the idea suggested on here! Best thing ever!

Especially as dc4 has decided it is his job to make me a coffee each morning Grin

My room is on the second floor, the kitchen at the back on the ground. I would prefer bedroom coffee simply to save me running down two flights of stairs and running through the cold house (the heating doesn't click on until later). DH gets up an hour later than me so his help is not an option. He also slept through a gas leak so a bit of coffee is unlikely to wake him. Thanks for the links to the machines, cheap and neat looking.

I appreciate it's not for everyone and that I'm BU but I'm going to go for it.

Ah you're right about he milk pods for a tassimo! I drink it black so I've never really had to think about it. Smile
