lissielou · 13/02/2007 15:27

there there.

brandy7 · 13/02/2007 15:28

mmm this was mentioned a few weeks back, cant remember the name but it was very similar and a contraversial comment that was made on some thread by whoever it was

SmileysPeople · 13/02/2007 15:30

When I joined I called myself Tinkerboo. After a while I realised there was a Tinker, she was a longer server than me so I changed.

Could you approach the other poster and come to some agreement??

SmileysPeople · 13/02/2007 15:30

Is she called fatty2shoes then??

That is TOO much

2shoescoveredinhearts · 13/02/2007 15:32

no fattytwoshoes(she seems very nice)

2shoescoveredinhearts · 13/02/2007 15:33

Yes - I've not confused the two 2/twoshoes crew! Wouldn't worry about it.

flutterbee · 13/02/2007 15:36

I noticed this before

twelveyeargap · 13/02/2007 15:36

Easily done. I'm TwelveYearGap, there is also a 12yeargap...

Since I'm usually found on my antenatal thread and rarely make forays into the wider Mumsnet world , it's never been a problem.

SmileysPeople · 13/02/2007 15:36

Who was here first?

Is she seriously damaging your unique brand?
How strong is your case?

2shoescoveredinhearts · 13/02/2007 15:40

for the one and only time I can actually say I was here first as she is VERY new.
So if you read this
hello Fattytwoshoes

OP posts:
Tirnanog · 13/02/2007 15:43

there can only be one 2shoes

Earlybird · 13/02/2007 15:44

Know just how you feel. Last year there suddenly appeared an Earlysbird - so exactly same as me but with an added S. I didn't like it at all, but comforted myself with the thought that she at least posted sensibly, so people weren't going to confuse me with someone disagreeable.

The problem solved itself though - she either name-changed (without any discussion between the two of us), or she's gone off and got herself a life because she never posts anymore.

sweetkitty · 13/02/2007 15:46

there's at least 2 other mumsnetters with kitty in their names too

doesn't really bother me that much though i'm the sweetest kitty

charliecat · 13/02/2007 15:47

PMSL, I am fattytwoshoes best friend in real life.
Shes been on MN for ages, on and off, under various names.
I saw her new name and said You do know theres a 2shoes on MN already....Shit she said, should I change it? Nah I said...see if anyone notices
PMSL. I will text her now and let her know she needs to be thinking of a name change!

clemsterdarcy · 13/02/2007 15:51

There's a Mrs Darcy and I am clemsterdarcy ... I know where you're coming from ... nooone likes to feel common ... tis the same with out LOs names ...

SmileysPeople · 13/02/2007 15:52

Great problem solved!!

I can imagine how annoying it must be.

If someone changed their name to SmileyPeople (without the S), why I wouldn't take it lying down,I'd ...I'd....sulk

charliecat · 13/02/2007 15:54

Shes texted back saying Tell her I didnt know

SmileyPeople · 13/02/2007 15:57
Wink
SmileysPeople · 13/02/2007 15:59

Ok that's it, I'm sulking.

After recovering from my confusion...thinking I didn't post that..it was a bit spooky!!

(please go away now)

2shoescoveredinhearts · 13/02/2007 16:50

it's ok just think we can start our own 2shoe clique.
