I can barely be gutted for people splitting up who I know personally never mind strangers

I don't believe that they married because they love each other at all.

Hopefully in time you'd come to term with your grief and after a long period of upset the world would start look a little less bleak.

They'd always live on in your heart though OP.

You could be as gutted, deverstated, shocked, stunned, heartbroken etc as you like. It would be a complete waste of your time but you must feel as you feel.

What with everything else in the world resolved, I agree it's time to start focusing on more crucial issues such as celeb relationships.

Couldn't care less what strangers do. Whatever happens in their marriage there's nothing remotely sad about their extremely wealthy, privileged lives.

I have invested far too much time thinking about this, and I feel they married because George intends to get into politics at some point in the future, and people would talk if he was unmarried.

If that is the case, they won't split.

I saw George Clooney in a restaurant on Florida many moons ago. He was dining with a younger gentleman. They looked very happy together.

You can just tell how in love with her he is. As they married late & probably knew more about what they didn't want in a relationship, I'd say they have a great chance of going the distance

I don't think anyone out of the public spotlight has a bloody clue as to what it is like to be constantly followed by paparazzi. And here you are judging if they have been gracious enough, or "could do better".

She's an intelligent highly regarded lawyer who has worked with and for some of the highest connected people around ... She is not his beard !!!! I think he had a lot of fun and basically got to his mid 50s and realised he was starting to run the risk of looking like a dirty old man constantly dating young women so sensibly found someone to marry who would eventually take care of him.
