To be gutted if Amal and George were to split

Amal always looks so chic (well, nearly always) and smiley and happy and rich

Daily Mail link Ignore the carping and enjoy the glamour.

After Brangelina, Zoe and Norman, and Niaomi Watts and Liev have split, I hope the Clooneys last the course.

it's a slow day at work

She is 100% his beard

Him at Cindy Crawford's husband are doin' it doin' it

herethereandeverywhere · 27/09/2016 15:54

she looks quite ordinary in the flesh (that is to say perfectly fine but just as human as the rest of us).

I think they're still doing up their ridiculous UK home at huge disruption to everyone else in their village. Perhaps they'll wait for that project to finish first?

IminaPickle · 27/09/2016 15:58

Beautiful clothes and horrible mean spirited article from the Mail!

HanYOLO · 27/09/2016 16:00

Appropo of nothing, I know someone who was at their wedding. She thinks its legit.

witchywoohoo · 27/09/2016 16:01

Still can't believe she changed her name to Amal Clooney. [runs and hides]

Topanga1 · 27/09/2016 16:06

I'm guessing BeMorePanda is secretly worried about a VicDav split - hence her tetchiness.

Imina - I didn't read the article properly but the DMail do the best photos for free. Well, at the price of a little bit of my soul.

She is his beard Mini.
Even the dogs in the street know this.

DiscoMike · 27/09/2016 16:27

I'd be more upset if he ever split up with his business partner Randy. Pay attention next time the DM write an article about them - they couldn't be more obviously hinting as to the nature of their relationship. Or just read the comments - there's no subtlety there Grin

Same for Bradley Cooper. Comments of pure gold.

Bobochic · 27/09/2016 16:29

I found her quite interesting at first. But she does seem to be extraordinarily vain and attention-seeking. Sure, it's all wrapped up as using her notoriety (and clothing) to draw attention to worthy causes, but it's all a bit too much to be convincing. More like she is instrumentalising her clients to her own end.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 27/09/2016 16:33

I couldn't give a monkeys what they do, I don't particularly like either of them!

Humidseptember · 27/09/2016 16:46

realy dont get all this beard crap, no one cares about people being gay anymore!! they dont need - beards!!

squoosh · 27/09/2016 16:47

Mr and Mrs Cinema Goer in Buttsville Iowa probably care.

squoosh · 27/09/2016 16:48

There's a reason there are next to no openly gay Hollywood actors.

PerpendicularVincent · 27/09/2016 16:50

I didn't realise that Liev Schreiber was single

RiverTam · 27/09/2016 16:50

And if George wants to make it in puritanical American politics, it's not going to be as an openly gay man.

Yy to very few gay actors. Entertainers, chat show hosts - but not actors.

ElspethFlashman · 27/09/2016 16:51

Beard thing is bullshit. Gay old guys these days just stay single forever. Look at Kevin Spacey.

I think it is Twoo Wuv and I don't care what anyone says. And I suspect she has as little interest in kids as he does. Her career is too good at the moment for her to have to take reduced hours anyway.

Smoogi · 27/09/2016 16:56

The beard thing is a fact. You can't be out in Hollywood unless you mind giving up plum lead acting roles.
And no - gay old guys most definitely do not stay single forever. And Kevin Spacey isn't single either.

Jbck · 27/09/2016 17:00

Vincent Liev is mine get away! Ive just informed DH his bags are packed.

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2016 17:04

I don't like a single item of clothing she has on. Does that say more about me or her?

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2016 17:04

Although I suppose the black jumper for £400 is ok.

NotDavidTennant · 27/09/2016 17:05

Clooney doesn't go for the "plum lead acting" roles any more though, does he? Why maintain the pretence?

Bobochic · 27/09/2016 17:06

She dresses to grab headlines, not according to taste or fashion.

Smoogi · 27/09/2016 17:34

Clooney doesn't go for the "plum lead acting" roles any more though, does he? Why maintain the pretence?
Depends how you define plum lead acting roles David.

Some people think plum lead roles as the lead part in the latest blockbuster horseshit offering.
others might say the plum roles lie in finely-written well-directed movies with a decent accomplished cast and a believable plot that appeals to intelligent, educated adults. these make up most of the body of clooney's work.
either way, there's only room in hollywood for a handful of publicly gay actors.

i'm sure clooney has his reasons but it doesn't change the fact that his marriage is a lavender marriage.
agh - leave him to it. its a shame he's had to hide.

MitzyLeFrouf · 27/09/2016 17:39

I'm sure Clooney is still one of the top three go to guys when casting people are looking for a 50 something male for their film. So yeah, I'd say he still has pick of plum roles.

BillSykesDog · 27/09/2016 17:51

She is getting an awful lot more attention for her work and her activism than she would as plain Miss Uddin the barrister. She certainly wouldn't be addressing the UN if she wasn't Mrs Clooney.

You rarely see them together and when you do there is zero chemistry, zero affection, zero warmth. I think it's an arrangement. She has a platform for her causes and he, erm, has a lady friend.
