To still find farting hilarious?

I've changed my diet recently, and Ive been really windy as a result. Lots of long, loud farts. I did one earlier that sounded a bit like a kazoo...

Anyway is it immature that I'm in my 30's and still find it hysterically funny when someone lets rip? I find even it funnier when people use really twee words like 'trump' and 'pump' instead of fart.

I work at a school and last year a little reception class boy walked in, sat on the carpet and announced in front of everyone 'I just farted'. The teacher, completley straight faced told him off for being rude, but I had to gag myself so I didn't howl with laughter.

There's nothing funnier, is there?

YABU, they are not funny at all. Unless they come from my tiny beautiful baby girl, because she just doesn't look capable of farting like a trucker it makes it hilarious.

God knows what some of them eat.
Other children don't find it funny because they have to sit breathing it in and it really pisses them off. Always lots of angry complaining after someone has farted.

YABU. I genuinely cannot find anything even remotely amusing about them. My DD laughs at them, but she's not even 2 yet.

yabu. gross. my ex DP and I went 6 years without farting in front of each other (I did hear him a few times in his sleep and I'm sure he heard me in my sleep)

My husband and I have never farted in front of each other, nor do we use the loo in front of each other. There has been zero effort involved btw. It simply wouldn't occur to us to do either of those things. Why would it? I've known him since I was 21 which is 41 years ago. It's never been an issue and tbh I'm at a loss to understand anyone deliberately farting in the presence of anyone else - and before some smartass chimes in - babies are excluded from this. Believe it or not I can't remember what and when I did as a baby.

Sorry, I ignored the point of the thread. I don't understand what's funny about farting. It's no more hilarious than hiccups, headaches, nausea or sneezing. Just a bodily function that we all have from time to time.

It's very funny when the DCs laugh so much they fart, and with that fart comes more laughter!

Hmm, I guess if someone is not particularly gassy I can see how they could not FART in front of partners, but usually you FART a lot more often than needing the loo - I can't imagine leaving the room every time, or "holding it in".

I can't imagine spending 41 years not being able to fart in front of my wife (or her in front of me).

Picture the scene: It is just gone midnight. You and your spouse are tucked up nice and warm in bed, whilst the rest of the house is cold and dark. You've both had a nice egg and brussel sprout vindaloo for tea, washed down with a pint of Guinness. Your bowels are bubblingly showing their appreciation. What do you do if you have a fart brewing?

Do you really get out of your nice warm bed, leave the room, break wind, and then get back into bed?

Or do you think, fuck it, I'm cosy, it'll warm up the bed a bit more, and the only other person in the room is the person I have been married to for most of my life?

Yes bung I do indeed get up. I have been known to sleep in the spare room on occasion where I am particularly sulphurous. Why would I want to subject anyone to that?

I do find the odd mistimed ones funny though.. like my friend who thought she would sneak one out on a plastic chair in a beer garden. I swear everyone stopped mid sip of drinks such was the reverberation.
She was mortified. I was doubled up. But in general no. Not funny.
