To still find farting hilarious?

I've changed my diet recently, and Ive been really windy as a result. Lots of long, loud farts. I did one earlier that sounded a bit like a kazoo...

Anyway is it immature that I'm in my 30's and still find it hysterically funny when someone lets rip? I find even it funnier when people use really twee words like 'trump' and 'pump' instead of fart.

I work at a school and last year a little reception class boy walked in, sat on the carpet and announced in front of everyone 'I just farted'. The teacher, completley straight faced told him off for being rude, but I had to gag myself so I didn't howl with laughter.

There's nothing funnier, is there?

Farting is hilarious. And necessary. Grin

I find it hilarious when my dogs fart. One has a very serious face and when he lets rip and just stares at me, I lose it.

Also when he trots upstairs farting at the same time and the movement of his legs causes the pitch to change.

I started a yoga class recently... It gets gassy!

Oh FFS. Such utterly crass and puerile talk on here, from grown men and women. It's sobering, really it is. I'm out of here.

I don't know who was farting at work today but they were on the floor below, under the open-risers staircase and doing the longest loudest farts I have ever heard in my life. Thankfully the smell didn't blow up the staircase! Me being so glam and cool calm and collected, I was doubled over with tears & snot running free from laughing so hard! Grin

I have told this before, and I will tell it aga in.

When dad was dying, we took DD (4.8) to see him. Completely unfazed by his reduction to yellowing skin and bone, she trotted in, said "hello Pop-pop" and kissed him unprompted. Then she farted, long, loud and noisome.
He laughed until he went purple. Utterly exhausted, he murmured "I thought that was going on the death certificate".

Me and my best mate find it funny, but when DP does it it annoys the hell out of me. No idea why. I think it's the sound he makes haha

I went to a comedy show the other day on a whim, it turned out to be three comedians making "cock 'n' shag" jokes for an hour. Loads of jis (sp?) references, I was delighted to be sitting beside my friend's 74 year old mother. It made me wonder why I'd spent my holiday the week before telling the DCs off for yelling "bum" and laughing their heads off as all that seems to happen with age is humour moves from the back bottom to the front one.

Fart as much as you like OP and laugh as much as you want, just as long as you never call it a pump...

geekymommy · 27/08/2016 04:21

If that's unreasonable, then I don't want to be reasonable. Then again, I and much of my dad's family are living proof that, while growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional...

DropYourSword · 27/08/2016 04:32

Farts are hilariousand to a pp, I actually find sneezes and hiccups funny too

Me and DP have fart wars. On a morning it's often the first thing we do - our little good morning to each other ritual.

Can't believe the catsbum mouthing going on here!

JudyCoolibar · 27/08/2016 05:21

In some circumstances they're funny, particularly when they come at the wrong time. But do you really fall about laughing every time you or anyone else farts? I can't help feeling there's would have to be something missing from your life to have that reaction.

Mausageandsash · 27/08/2016 09:49

I'm sorry but they're hilarious

Mybugslife · 27/08/2016 10:51

Maybe the reason being I have 3 older brothers, but all 4 of us still find farts hilarious - most of the time. (The oldest is 32)
Even all our DPs join in now, when we all get together in the same place It always ends with us all getting belly ache....from laughing so much mostly because of the farts haha.
Me and my DP are more than comfortable enough to fart infront of each other and I feel sorry for anyone who isn't, you must be extremely uncomfortable!
