To think there's nothing wrong with own brand stuff?

Was in the supermarket earlier and a woman asked her friend to get her some butter - but "a brand, none of that cheap shite". Hmm

What is wrong with own brand? :( Sometimes/Mostly that's all I can afford! Isn't it all the same food anyway?

I usually stick to the shop own/value brand, there's a few things that absolutely HAVE to be branded though like,
Hp brown sauce, can't stand any other brown sauce.
Shampoo & conditioner
Sausages
pg tips tea
Coffee. Smile

DH used to work for a packaging company & he said that Morrisons have their own abbatoirs which makes the meat more ... um.... humanely produced, if you get my drift.

According to my wise old Gran all cosmetics are made from duck shit and lard and just have different labels

I spoke to a trainee beauty therapist and she told me that Clarins also make the M&S skincare range.

I worked in clothing factory, we made for several well known names. M&S among them, their quality control was shit hot, so many stitches to the cm. 12 for e.g. If they found more or less the work got sent back to be redone. We once got a huge order from Russia for dresses and coats, it made us laugh that these utilitarian crimpelene garments were being made and produced by the same machinists, on the same machines as M&S, Berkatex Jeff Banks and Louie Ferroux among others,

That's insane Thinking!

Insane but true. We liked the Russians, kept us in work for months. I was a sample hand, I made the garments up from scratch to the designers brief. The samples I made were then taken to the designer for inspection, if he or she liked what they saw we got the order for production,

That's cool :)
