When people pull up outside your house early in the morning (to give a neighbour a lift) and they have the engine noisily 'idling' for 10 minutes or more instead of being considerate and turning the engine off while they wait.
Every sodding morning. Don't need to set an alarm.

It's not as if it's the middle of winter and the car needs warming up. It's not an old car either.

In our street the front gardens are all open plan. We live in a semi-detached and under our front windows is a rectangle of grass and beyond this the shared drive.

Across the road lets her dog out who without fail runs barking across the road and loops round next door bit of drive, across the rectangle of grass and back down our path. It stops to bark under the living room windows too.

This happens several times a day...unless she sees us at the window when she keeps the dog to heel.

It drives us crazy and the grass under the Windows has a semi circle path worn in it from the dog galloping round and round.

Wind chimes, persistent jingly jangly bastards that are anything but relaxing and soothing when you're trying to sleep with your bedroom window open.

Suffice to say they mysteriously vanished one night...Wink

Fucking evil smelling bbq's. Our neighbours have got some mad gazebo thing in their garden so that even when the weather's bad, every sodding night we have to put up with their foul smelling tea festering on the bbq with the joyous accompaniment of their their vile, yappy dog and their 'delightful' grandchildren who come round every day for their tea And this from the people who used make a point of sighing and slamming windows shut when I used to have one cigarette in our garden of an evening Confused
Just come back from holiday and I'm pleased to see that the adult dc have retrieved the drum kit from the garage whilst we were away Grin
I hope they played it very very loudly, every night, with the windows wide open.

Start speaking to him in Klingon. Make it up as you go and really go at it.

RedWine123 · 24/09/2020 00:31

Watering their plants every evening with the hosepipe and always get my washing with it, even over a 6ft fence. They are annoyingly overly nice people and I am convinced they do it on purpose for a rush or something.

StardewMelons · 24/09/2020 00:45

Have 'every' single lift picking them up, beep multiple times a day. Letting thier young kids climb up thier side of the wall and look into my yard. But MOSTLY ....Phleming loudly (front and back of house) constantly. To the point I have had to throw meals away... a lot...

Keeping pet cockerels.

PotatoBasher · 24/09/2020 03:29

where I live there is a curfew for cats- not out after dusk as they kill too many animals.

Horrible man next door has 2 cats (plus a rabbit and dog) which roam the streets constantly.

Plus his cats have never been litter trained so they shit on the top of our mulch and my husband has trodden in it loads of times. One cat's preference is to crap just by his car door.

I have to have a special trowel to scoop up his cat's shit and put it in his dustbin

I used to live next door to a awful elderly woman! When I first had my little girl she used to knock through the wall whenever she cried even during the daytime, she used to complain about me hanging washing out during the day as it blocked her view etc! It was only baby grows, little dresses etc. When my daughter became a toddler she complained about the noise every time we played in the back garden, even sitting having a little picnic set her off. There was no shouting or music just toddlers chatter! I got my daughter a small paddling pool (so small that I could blow it up with my mouth) and filled it up with a couple of buckets of water. World War 3 started with her shouting about wasting water and saying all the splashing about is disturbing her! She also complained about the neighbours on the other side of her as they had a car parked in there own drive and that also blocked her view 🙄. She also didn't like me cleaning my windows for some reason!

Kolsch · 24/09/2020 05:05

My neighbour has some kind of MH issue. Every morning she goes into her garden and starts barking like a dog for around 10 minutes.
Obviously I tend to keep well away from her.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 24/09/2020 05:21

The neighbour diagonally behind us make wood fired bread in their backyard oven to sell at markets.
I have no problems anyone cooking bread, that normally would smell delicious but I have a huge bloody problem with the fact the wood they burn to cook that bread is just shit.
It’s either Coated in layers of paint from house demolitions, treated Timber off cuts (you know the stuff that treated with arsenic) or old pallets.
It stinks and burns as a thick black rank smoke.

And they sell bread cooked in that shit to the public.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 24/09/2020 05:33

The back of a row of 4 town houses next door to us have 2 dogs that bark constantly all fucking day. (They are home too)
If I’m Or the kids are in the backyard they go bonkers.

It made me feel less than sorry when the sewer main ruptured and filled their garden with shit which their dogs walked all over the carpets all though their house.
(We also had a bit of a shit sea at the very back garden but they are lower so it flowed down hill. My garden looks amazing this year though. Human shit fertiliser)

4 year old ZOMBIE THREAD.

TheFuckingDogs · 24/09/2020 06:46

Does it really matter if it’s a ZT though with this kind of thread?

PaperMonster · 24/09/2020 07:15

My next door neighbour is lovely, but at about 11pm on a Sunday he puts his weekly collection of bottles in his bin and it always wakes me up.

This seems like something you should be reporting?
Bluesheep8 · 24/09/2020 08:12

Mine puss pusses our cat into her garden then tries to set her dog on it

I would have serious concerns about this behaviour. That is actually vile.Hmm

Greenfairy2468 · 24/09/2020 08:38

Smashing glass recycling, banging bin lids, dropping rubbish outside so it blows into our garden and down the street, constant pointless revving of car engines and slamming car doors so loud the glasses in our kitchen cupboard rattle, loads of cars parked selfishly (outside our house but not theirs), shouting/swearing at each other. At all hours, waking everyone up. They don't think anyone else exists apparently Angry... we've stayed polite so far but I'm ready to lose my shit with them...

Toodlepippin · 24/09/2020 09:52

Ours has been building a shed/hut type thing on his driveway for honestly over a year now. He gets his power tools out late every evening and all weekend, it’s so annoying. He should have finished it by now!

DLDTSD92 · 06/06/2025 18:30

Hi.
My neighbours love to follow me my kids and my partner around with heated stove (portal) aswel as cooler. And make my 2 year daughter room smell of piss. To the point me my partner 4 months old son and our 2 year old daughter are all in the same room. They been harassing us for over a 1 year. And hyde housing are allowing it. And they been heating up our bedroom at night too wake my kids up.

Ps it's Solomons doing it aswel.
