To be worried about my slimy friend?

AIBU

Last week, I think I may have met my soulmate. It was love at first post. Her name was toadgirl. I shared a lot of personal info with, including what I buy for tea in Co Op and other really personal stuff. I told her that if I could put her soul into the body of the fit guy that works in said Co Op; then I would marry her.

Was this too much? She has now gone completely off the radar and I am frantic. She does have addiction issues; I and others are extremely concerned about her overuse of memes. She doesn't seem to have any control over her use/possible abuse of them, and I'm really worried that she may have fallen down the rabbit hole of cats/Yoda/various other shite. toadgirl, if you are out there, we love you and I am fully prepared to have an open relationship with you, if that's what you want.

I/we can't handle the silence/lack of memes any longer.

I miss you toadmum :(

Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 22:43

I second all of the above. Apart from the wanting to marry her bit.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 22:55

better to be fair, I didn't want to marry her; I merely wanted to transplant her personality (minus excessive meme-ing) into Co Op boy's body - is that so terribly unreasonable?

OP posts:
ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 22:56

And what about poor AGL? Her behaviour is bordering on the unforgivable.

OP posts:
Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 22:57

Well, when you put it like that, not unreasonable at all!

Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 22:59

Yes, that is child abandonment. Shocking, quite shocking.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:02

I don't get why she mentioned courgettes, lube and baby wipes and then just fucked off.... She was leading me on, right?

OP posts:
ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:04

So as not to drip feed, she also posted cat memes.

She knows I have a rocky relationship with cats.

Shaking and crying right now.

Confused
Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 23:04

She could just have had an accident and fallen over. It could be that there's a toad in the hole somewhere.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:07

better. It's posters like you that put me right off MN. Toadily unhelpful comment (flounces off)

Saul I hope you're prepared to replace my keyboard. I just read your post and snorted tea all over it! [Need a really good laugh-out-loud smiley]

Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 23:10

Just a suggestion! It's perfectly possible...

Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 23:12

2kids - Grin

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:12

Right. So what you guys are saying is that she's actually a toad? Shaking and crying again.

Bettercallsaul1 · 14/08/2016 23:15

Have you considered making an urgent doctor's appointment, Jess?

MsKite · 14/08/2016 23:18

Toads are dry not slimy aren't they? Confused

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:18

I have one in the morning. Just don't think doc is going to understand my affection for a toad.

OP posts:
ADishBestEatenCold · 14/08/2016 23:18

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:19

OP posts:
ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 14/08/2016 23:21

MsKite - I think you are right - toads are dry. But her behaviour in sidling off our thread has been slimy and slippery in the extreme.
