To be panicking that I jumped into the swinming pool?

I am 10 weeks and I jumped in feet first from the edge of the pool....as soon as I did it I thought....oops....googled and horror stories as with anything at all that you do when you are pregnant...including "water being forced up your vagina" "impact injuries" "placental abrubtion" and god knows what else.
Anyone done similar?

I think this is actually quite insulting to anyone who has been unfortunate enough to experience a real traumatic injury during pregnancy.

Stop worrying I went in the Rapids at centre parcs when I was 14 weeks stupid thing to do! I was fine and the baby is 4 years old now but I wouldn't recommend it lol

I went on a log flume, a treetop 'walk' (think climbing up and down, cargo nets and tunnels) and a circular motion (flying parasols) ride on Sunday. I'm 21 weeks. Baby is still kicking like a good 'un and i felt fine other than being a bit achy. have a 5yo ds so can't just stop doing things - especially when dh goes green just looking at these things so is no use.

Give the op a break - she's not the only mum to get over anxious about her pg. She will likely look back when her baby is here and feel faintly ridiculous but I was exactly the same. Should I have eaten this or that? I just bumped into someone and now something awful will happen etc. Stop googling op. Your baby will be fine.

Thank you. I suspected i was panicking and just sought reassurance. I had a very anxious time with my first pregnanxy (projectexted anxiety....pregnancy was fine and my son is now a healtjy five year old but my partner at the time turned out to have been a very dangerous individual whp went on to be horribly abusive and it was very tough getting away) This time lovely (different obviously!) partner and am much much calmer but just had a twinge.
I apologise if I upset anyone it was not my intention.

Don't worry op, my dh is always telling me not to Google like this. Most of us do it from time to time! I hope you have a healthy pregnancy - enjoy! Smile

I did a cartwheel on a beach and ended up in hospital with a suspected ectopic pregnancy a few days later (It was fine, just a random bleed, and DS is happily kicking away on the playmat)...and obviously it wasn't my doing a cartwheel that caused it...but I of course blamed myself. I think it's normal to worry about all sorts of random irrational things with a first pregnancy Flowers

You'll be ok op. Mary King rode in the European eventing championship when she was 5.5 months pregnant - that baby was competing at Badminton herself this year! Smile

I've been there myself. I'm now 38 weeks and I think I've spent my entire pregnancy googling "is it safe to do..." or "is it safe to eat.." I was terrified of lifting anything heavier than a spoon for weeks and I wore my maternity uniform at work very, very early on as I was worried about not being visible enough.

It's normal to be this anxious. But take it from me, breathe a bit more. It's been a long time for me because of it! lol

The only thing I hurt jumping into the pool was my foot (I broke it)!!! I then subsequently found out I was pregnant. My Ds is now 9 and has suffered no ill effects from me jumping in the pool.

I did similar. I went on a trampoline when I was 11 weeks and did one of those landing face down jump things. Instantly thought, oh shit! I had a small bleed but baby was fine. She's almost fifteen now :) I did go and have a scan as a priority.

It's really not. It's very hard to damage a pregnancy, especially at the early stages when its all contained within the pelvis. People have had terrible car crashes, severe injuries, almost died and still no problem to the pregnancy.

The culture of anxiety and can't do this that or the other due to being pregnant is mostly silliness and over-reaching guidelines, based mainly on bad opinion.

My exHs jack russel fell from the back of the sofa right onto my bump when I was pregnant. I had a small bleed but all was fine and she is now a pain in the arse 7 years old.

Getting that anxious feeling isn't nice but google really isn't your friend when it comes to things like this. We are going camping next month for the first time and I keep having random panics about people coming into my tent at night or it catching fire while we are in it Blush
