To be annoyed at drivers who do this

I'm feeling pretty annoyed right now. I was walking with my 3 kids, pushing the youngest in the pram and a toddler and my eldest. Anyway, was crossing a side road with no cars on it when some fucker comes along from around the corner when we are in the middle of the road and indicates last minute and zooms past us about 3 feet from the front of the pram.
The cow definitely saw us and I could tell she was pretending she hadn't by her face.
I'm pregnant so maybe easily pissed off, but I'm pretty mad!

No, you are not. Some prick drove straight over a zebra crossing I was using when pushing my baby in the pram and then 100 yards down th road another prick drove through the green "walk" man because she hadn't bothered to stop at the red light on the other side of the cross roads. She also pretended not to notice, despite all the pedestrians and prams she was zooming through. It is arrogant, unsafe, unnecessary and I just don't get why people do it.

Car drivers who don't indicate if there are no other cars around, regardless of whether there are pedestrians around without the ability to read minds - I could rant for all time about this. And sometimes it's perfectly nice people I know and like - but there seems to be some switch in their head: "no other cars so no-one needs to know which way I'm planning to turn, not even that family waiting to cross the road over there".

I am a driver more than a pedestrian and my pet gripe are drivers who do not indicate, or indicate as they are turning. I scream abuse at then every time (in my head). How difficult is it to just flick the indicator?
So, if it pisses me off as a driver, i have the utmost sympathy for pedestrianif i come around a corner and find anything in my way, be it pedestrians, horses or cyclists, i adjust my speed and driving style to suit.

YANBU OP, flick them the middle finger (in your head)😃

Must be a day for it. I shouted at a woman in 4bee who drove through a zebra crossing I was half way over, she didn't even flinch. A little further on she turned left, into a file of kids crossing the road... on another crossing. The lollipop lady slipped as she lept back in fright and her lollipop slammed against the car - I will swear to that in any court.

Sadly for her that wasn't the only humiliation, she had to stop and a group of 7 or 8 year olds gathered round to explain the highway code to her... loudly, with arm gestures and a little song

The collected adults gave a round of applause. This is a small town, it was on fb, with pictures, before she got her handbrake on

YANBU! I have turned into angry, shouty woman because of the crossing outside my house. Every day some prick drives over it when the lights are red because it's positioned too close to a junction and left turners only look right before proceeding. I shout so loud they shit themselves. Two have stopped to receive a dressing down about their driving skills.

I am a car driver and you are definitely nbu. It irritates the hell out of drivers too that people are inconsiderate arses!

That's terrible. On a crossing with a baby too!
I find parents on the school run the worst. They drive their cars like its a race track near the schools.
I encounter these aggressive idiots occasionally when I drive too, but it's not as stressful as being a pedestrian!

Drives me crackers!

Stood at a pedestrian crossing, green man starts but something told me the car coming was not going to stop. Low and behold he didn't. He got stuck in a queue just after the crossing and desire to kick his bumper was almost over whelming.

If I hadn't stopped ds would have been hit in his buggy

When I was taking my eldest to preschool we had to use a zebra crossing that often had a lollipop lady on it.
Three times a car zoomed by as she was actually in the middle of the crossing and we were following. Two of the occasions were the same car. Idiots.
I also hate people who park up and block the pavement. One time walking home from school on a main road a car did this right in front of us. Completely blocking the pavement, no way could even a gnat fit through. I walked right up to the car with my 5 year old and my buggy and just glared at the driver. Full on mumsnet style death glare.
She looked awkward mumbled "Okay, OKAY!" and drove away.
Yesterday when picking ds up from school someone had blocked the pavement right outside the school. I had to walk out into the road to get past with my buggy, and the drivers window was open so I bellowed "Thank you for blocking the pavement!" as I went by. The driver jumped and nearly dropped her phone.
The mum walking behind me had a go at her too, she was really incensed that I'd had to walk in the road!

YANBU, I like to drive carefully and I always stop at a crossing if someone is on it or halfway over. Loads of motorists don't bother with their indicators and it is annoying, especially at roundabouts.
I find that customers driving out of supermarket car parks seem to delight in cutting up other drivers. I wonder how they behave with their trolleys when they're shopping.

There was a lady posting last week that had been run down on a zebra crossing, her DC was in a pushchair and he was flung down the road. It must have been horrific for her. Some drivers are awful!

I yell 'SIGNAL' at all the drivers who make an unsignalled left turn onto the road where I am trying to cross. Occasionally they yell back ...

Some drivers just don't care. My dh was nearly knocked off his bike the other day actually. He is not one to walk away so shouted a bit at him and got a "don't you know who I am"'sort of response back. Still don't know who he was apart from an inconsiderate driver

In London I also yell at cyclists who fail to stop at zebra crossing, and sweetly thank those who do.

I had an idiot undertake me at speed today and make two pedestrians have to step back out of their way. he also sped through the traffic lights in the wrong lane.

so relieved that there are other yellers and shouters.

i have caught people up and given them a dressing down.

I never understand people who don't indicate. Surely, it becomes a habit to do with whenever you maneuver so you shouldn't even need to consciously think about it

This is one of my biggest annoyances! There was a zebra crossing (is now traffic lights) near my house on a busy road and the amount of times me and DD have nearly been ran over is shocking. I had been waiting to cross with the pram and thought that the big van was a safe distance away for him to notice me and slow down. The driver on the other side of the road had already stopped to let me past so on I went, and big stupid van had to an emergency stop to prevent knocking us down! I stood in front of him and bellowed "are you fucking for real?!" at him, not my finest hour

I nearly got squashed last week while crossing at an intersection, pushing a stroller with my small son walking beside me. Here drivers are allowed to turn left on a red light, but they must yield to pedestrians using a crosswalk. This woman didn't look, accelerated towards us and then slammed on her brakes with the bumper of her giant SUV about a foot from my toddler's head. I shouted "what the fuck is wrong with you?" (I'm not proud of swearing in front of the children, but I was so shaken and angry it just came out!), and she opened her door and started to apologize but I had to just walk away because I was so mad.

I think some motorists truly believe they have right of way in every situation. Twats.

I'm possibly wrong here but I thought pedestrians crossing side roads had priority over drivers turning in from the main road. So whether the driver signals or not is irrelevant, they should be giving way to you OP.
