To be annoyed at drivers who do this

I'm feeling pretty annoyed right now. I was walking with my 3 kids, pushing the youngest in the pram and a toddler and my eldest. Anyway, was crossing a side road with no cars on it when some fucker comes along from around the corner when we are in the middle of the road and indicates last minute and zooms past us about 3 feet from the front of the pram.
The cow definitely saw us and I could tell she was pretending she hadn't by her face.
I'm pregnant so maybe easily pissed off, but I'm pretty mad!

I've hit cars with my handbag on a few occasions.

There's a Pelican crossing that I have to cross regularly, that I do not allow my children to walk ahead of me on (after having a bad experience when my pram was nearly clipped by a car Shock ), as it is so frequent that cars just don't stop. There are two lanes of traffic, and drivers wrongly assume the cars are stopped due to traffic, rather than the lights. So now, when I cross, my kids are behind me, and my handbag is at the ready. It's not my fault if I'm crossing at a green light, swinging my handbag around, and a car is accidentally in my path... Halo

They do Tinkly, for obvious reasons. Sadly, many drivers don't seem to know that and get quite agitated abut having to stop, slow down or in any way avoid squishing someone!

Bluepancakes that reminds of a time when a car narrowly missed DH on a pedestrian crossing. He was on his way home from the shop with a carrier bag full of tins for the food bank... He claims the swing was pure instinct, but reckons he left an impressive dent in their rear door.

you aren't being unreasonable at all - there is a roundabout near my mum that I am almost killed on daily - I've complained to the roads service and all my local mps and was basically told i should be more careful..........ffs.

My driving instructor told me off for signalling when there were no cars around. I pointed out the pedestrians about to cross the side street who couldn't have known I was about to turn into it. He laughed and said "They'll get out of the way fast enough when you hit them!" ShockSad

Here in Guernsey our roads are quite narrow so a lot of the time when vehicles pass one or both mounts the pavement which can be pretty terrifying when a fucking lorry does it right in front of your pram because the driver didn't look to see if any pedestrians were there. DH and I have both yelled stuff like "this is a fucking pavement" a few times because yeah, no one here actually gives a shit about pedestrians. If I have a studded handbag or something I like to run it against any cars waiting half on the pavement - don't think it does any damage but it makes a nice noise. ;)
