I'm utterly devastated with the result, but have to accept that it was the democratic decision.

Trying to find some positive slant on it.

It does mean the end of TTIP, doesn't it?
And does it not mean we have the chance to form trade partnerships with other countries without competiton from the rest of Europe?

Cameron has gone. Another plus.
Hopefully the end of voter apathy which really annoys me every time there's an election.

I am also totally devastated, and wondering how it has come to this (uncoordinated, negative campaign; wrong time to have it; Labour being lukewarm etc).
However, to be positive, I am hopeful for the 75% of young voters who voted Remain. They can change things and clear up the mess my generation has made.
The turnout was an improvement, but if everyone had voted the results may have been very different.

Nothing has changed for the moment; we have a while before Article 50 is invoked.

We have voted to leave a political monolith,. not mine the Channel and repel boarders! There is an awful lot of the world outside the EU; some of them liberal democracies that aren't signatories to the ECHR, or EU member states and they seem to cope.....

I'm hoping for further referenda because the EU does need reform and its reluctance to negotiate has always scared me a little.

Sadly we are more at risk for a TTIP-esque deal now than we would have been with Remain. TTIP was always destined to be vetoed by sensible EU nations (not UK - our government are in favour). When we get to the front of Obama's queue, we will get a deal that is basically TTIP with a different name.

That we, the remainers, are no longer on the defensive as we have been for months. That the Brexiters will now have to stop bleating and take responsibility for the enormity of what they have done to our country. That Farage and Johnson, who have been hailed as champions of the people for years, are at last being revealed for the liars they truly are.

OFGS buck up. We are part of a democracy and the vote was out. Politicians will have to WORK for their salaries and genuinely serve the people of Great Britain. The EU will now have to rethink their ways as will everyone that was in a bubble and forgot that most of the country is made up of working class people.

We'll still get TTIP. The Tories won't have a problem with it and there will be no EU to hold them back.

There are only three positives I can think of, and they're all based on Schadenfreude rather than any real benefit to real people:

1. Boris will now actually have to try and fix all this and will find himself doing a hard job and being unable to coast on charisma for the first time ever. You wanted the job, you take it and all the extra headaches that now come with it!

2. Osborne's top level career and leadership aspirations are toast.

3. Cameron ditto.

I'm frustrated that due to current circumstances of RAGE I can't fully enjoy 2) and 3) as I would like to. They'll have to do for now.

Scotland has retracted a lot what was initially said.
The leaders of the EU have said they will co-operate to large extent.

The pound has not plummeted to the degree that the scaremongers suggested.
Worst case scenario is that growth will flatline for a while then increase again.
House prices will drop allowing more first time buyers to get on the ladder.
