To think some Customer Service training wouldn't go amiss here?

A bad review wouldn't necessarily put me off booking, if there was a reasonable and measured response from the manager/owner. Think I'll swerve this one however.

Therealloislane · 30/04/2016 23:03

You know a scottish former MNer sprung to mind when reading that!

puckingfixies · 30/04/2016 23:04

Purple the guest was from Scotland, the cottage is in Ireland - not sure where the owner lives.

Foosty Grin my Dad who was Scottish used to say this.

honestpointofview · 30/04/2016 23:27

Brilliant! Op can we have a link to the review?

puckingfixies · 30/04/2016 23:33

honestpov I don't know how to link (luddite here) but the cottage is in Kincasslagh, Co Donegal, I was looking on Trip Advisor for a 2 bedroomed cottage.

honestpointofview · 30/04/2016 23:35

honestpointofview · 30/04/2016 23:39

If the review is right about lack of a table to eat at (and it is hard to tell there looks like there might be one but can not be sure) then I would not rent it.

Champagneformyrealfriends · 30/04/2016 23:40

Brilliant Grin

MarthaCliffYouCunt · 30/04/2016 23:44

Just had a quick look on tripadvisor and found thatched cottages, is this the right one? I couldnt see this particular review but plenty more that were not positive and one talking about musty cushions. There cant be more than one cottage in kincasslagh with musty cushions can there? Grin

puckingfixies · 01/05/2016 00:01

Martha it wasn't thatched, it looked to be a slate roof. It was called Angela's cottage. Like the sound of a thatched cottage, might look at them (wonder if they sell Febreze in Kincasslagh?)

MarthaCliffYouCunt · 01/05/2016 00:04

Ooh so there are more than one! These other ones were own by conor and mary if you are interested in knowing what to avoid Grin

honestpointofview · 01/05/2016 00:08

Now i am really confused - i found that review on a cottage called Kincasslagh!

honestpointofview · 01/05/2016 00:10

ah silly me it is the same one.

puckingfixies · 01/05/2016 00:22

honest that's the one. Martha they look quite nice, if I drive over I can take my own Febreze. Really fancied flying into Carrickfinn airport though.
