should I drop him off and pick him up?

my DH has to work today in a place that's about 15 minutes drive from home. There is a parking problem but if he looks around I'm pretty sure he'll find somewhere. If not there is on street parking within a 10-15 minute walk.

He wants me to drop him off, then pick him up again and spend most of the day running around after him because he doesn't want to have to find somewhere to park and/or walk from the parking spot into work. I myself have to work this evening and today is a day where I tend to unwind without kids and work until this evening.

AIBU to not take him and tell him he should find a parking space and/or walk for 10 to 15 minutes? He's gone now and left seething and now I feel so guilty but I would never have asked him if the shoe were on the other foot

15 mins, surely he could walk that???

I probably would have taken him - it's only a short drive.

Is it really just dropping him off and picking him up at 5? If so, I'd do that. If he wants you to do a lot of things for him as well, I wouldn't. Today is your free time, like tonight is his.

A 15 minute drive could be 10 miles or more!

I'm on your side OP. To drop him off and collect him later means you'll be spending an hour of your day in the car. All so that he doesn't have to walk the 10-15 minutes from car to office and then back again. Sounds like a real waste of your time. I'd be embarrassed to ask if I were him.

collaborate yes that's how I feel about it, I have to drive 15 minutes there, 15 minutes back then wait an hour or so and start again to pick him up, he's very lazy and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.

yes also a 10 minute drive but walking would take at least an hour if not more.

perhaps I should have taken him now I feel like there is going to be animosity between us for the rest of the day and maybe even more

15 min drive wouldn't take half an hour to walk, even where I live. There must be some really fast walkers here. I'd do it OP if only to get the favour returned at some point

Could you not drop him off then do some shopping or something locally? Or go for a coffee or something?

DH and I do this sort of thing for each other all the time. But you said your DH is lazy - I think that's the difference. My DH works really hard and so do I and we both appreciate each other. If your DH is lazy and selfish then YANBU to not take him.
