To think this is incredibly sexist?

This has been shared by 4 people on my FB all tagging their partners.

Is this not incredibly sexist to say the least?

I mean I won't change my name, I certainly wouldn't give up my home to go live in 'his' home let alone become his personal cleaner, my children don't have his surname.

However who in their right mind made this and think it's normal to do all of that? have a child for him, clean's his house, bringing up his children, taking care of his parents??? HmmHmmHmm

To think this is incredibly sexist?

I just can't wound up by it.... sorry. Just another example of FB shite.

Sparklingbrook · 24/02/2016 17:15

FB is bonkers. People share some really odd stuff.

LineyReborn · 24/02/2016 17:16

If my OH shared that with anyone I'd vomit.

SmellsLikeMiddleAgeSpirit · 24/02/2016 17:16

WTF?
Gets pregnant for you? Fuck off.
Almost gives up in the labour room? What does that even mean? You can't opt out of birth when it's imminent!

And all those assumptions about name changes and children's names.
Terrible!

SmellsLikeMiddleAgeSpirit · 24/02/2016 17:16

YANBU, by the way

nevertakeyouriphoneinthebath · 24/02/2016 17:17

It's a vomtastic load of old tosh. Not sure I can get het up about whether it's sexist or not. It does make out that all women are martyrs though.

LurkingHusband · 24/02/2016 17:18

Well, at least you can show you're angry ...

Maybe now you know what it was like for your mother's generation - and still is, for many women and cultures.

SlapACatFuckADuck · 24/02/2016 17:21

I just don't see how it celebrates 'woman week' It makes us all out to be slaves to our partners!

Annie my mother did nothing like this what so ever!

It made me laugh. Typical FB shite. I have a friend who posts constantly 'what bird am I, what Dysney princess am I? She's a bored nutter.

Ignore or take the piss.

Sunnybitch · 24/02/2016 17:35

Well that twat needs a slap!

CooPie10 · 24/02/2016 17:37

Can't get worked up about it. Do you let every ridiculous fb post get you this upset?

amarmai · 24/02/2016 17:37

read a lot of ops in mn complaining about sim.

Spanglecrab · 24/02/2016 17:40

Is there anything to stop you making up your own Facebook shite, sticking it out there and seeing if it gets shared? This example has to be a piss take surely?

oldlaundbooth · 24/02/2016 17:41

Tongue in cheek surely?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 24/02/2016 17:43

Yep, its a total pile of sexist shite. It could have been written in the 1950's. What annoys me is that it is dressed up as appreciating women whilst reinforcing some grim stereotypes.

LineyReborn · 24/02/2016 17:45

How about:

WOMAN
Has a vagina and a uterus
Doesn't have a penis

smallspikyleaves · 24/02/2016 17:46

yuk

CamboricumMinor · 24/02/2016 17:48

It's a load of rubbish. Much like most of the stuff on FB! Ignore and move on.

MrsSeanBean · 24/02/2016 17:49

It's Facebook crap. Ignore. Better still, unregister from Facebook.

sooperdooper · 24/02/2016 17:52

What a pile of nonsense, luckily I haven't seen anyone I know post it!!

Katenka · 24/02/2016 17:54

What a pile of shite

BillBrysonsBeard · 24/02/2016 17:56

Total bollocks. Sexist 1950s shite disguised as appreciation.
