DH and I have two young teenagers, making personal time very quiet indeed! Premier inn have just emailed me rooms from £35!

Wibu to book a local one for a Friday night and get Granny in to mind the kids?

Oooh, for the days of shagging all night. (If you say do it, I will!)

YANBU. And the beds are extremely comfortable for the sleeping part!

PeridotPassion · 18/01/2016 23:15

Can't you send them both to Granny's/for a sleepover instead? Then spend the £35 on a bunch of flowers for Granny and the rest on alcohol.

TheWomanInTheWall · 18/01/2016 23:16

But there's something about a hotel room, Peri!

Wantitallnightlong · 18/01/2016 23:17

Hmm, no consensus.
Isn't there something good about a hotel even if it's only premier inn though?

You can't get caught up in a quick load of washing etc if you've popped away for the night!

MsPavlichenko · 18/01/2016 23:17

Do it. Staying at home not the same IME.

whatdoIget · 18/01/2016 23:18

Book it!

LeaLeander · 18/01/2016 23:19

Go for it. Take wine and picnic food. Turn off phones.

ExitPursuedByABear · 18/01/2016 23:20

We got the email.

Go for it.

PeridotPassion · 18/01/2016 23:21

I'd enjoy a night away if we were going somewhere, but not for the sake of it tbh. I think i'd rather spend the £35 on a meal out or drinks or cinema etc and then spend the night at home!

SaucyJack · 18/01/2016 23:22

If I were you I'd book it just for me.... and leave DP and the kids at home.

Nah, go for it. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

TheWomanInTheWall · 18/01/2016 23:22

Premier inn has better beds than travelodge or holiday inn, rooms are a little more welcoming and wifi is free, or £5 for "streaming" standard.

Breakfast at travelodge is depressing, but decent enough
at P Inn, if you want it.

TheWomanInTheWall · 18/01/2016 23:23

Why didn't I get this email, humph!

Wantitallnightlong · 18/01/2016 23:23

I love you all! So will DH.

Not sure what Granny will think of you though WinkGrin

We've spent the money before for the uninterrupted shag and not even bothered staying the night!

Do it

WorraLiberty · 18/01/2016 23:24

Me and my DH did exactly this a few months ago.

The Premier Inn was only a 20 minute drive away, but we went for dinner, went to the cinema and had a thoroughly lovely night out.

Our teenagers enjoyed it too, because they got thoroughly spoilt by granny Grin

Evabeaversprotege · 18/01/2016 23:24

Do it!!

Go on, do it now!!

(Mine are 11 & 14, I feel your pain)

ThomasRichard · 18/01/2016 23:26

Excellent idea, book that room and make a proper evening/night of it!

ladymariner · 18/01/2016 23:27

Absolutely go for it, there's something about staying in hotel rooms..... Enjoy!
(goes off to check Emails for premier inn deals..... Wink

PeridotPassion · 18/01/2016 23:38

You've done me a favour op!

We have a wedding in April about 4 hours away and i'd made a reservation at the nearest Premier Inn for two night for £123.

I've just looked at their website again out of interest and seen the saver rates advertised...so have just paid for the 2 nights on a saver rate which cost £70 Smile

You saved me £53 so Mwahh!

Are these saver rates a new thing? I can't believe I missed it, I only booked a few weeks ago!

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 18/01/2016 23:39

Everybody wins!

Leave granny and the teens a treat. Wine? DVD?

Have a nice night out. Meal/cinema/peaceful night.

TheWomanInTheWall · 18/01/2016 23:41

Probably a winter sale or summat, Peridot.

Redglitter · 18/01/2016 23:44

My ex and I used to book the £19 rooms when they were advertised and use it for the afternoon Blush

MotherKat · 18/01/2016 23:47

Really glad you went for it, there's nothing quite like a hotel room to take your mind off the laundry/washing up/shall we paint the ceiling stuff that distracts you when you try a home date

RainOhJoyus · 19/01/2016 00:01

Book it!
