DH and I have two young teenagers, making personal time very quiet indeed! Premier inn have just emailed me rooms from £35!

Wibu to book a local one for a Friday night and get Granny in to mind the kids?

Oooh, for the days of shagging all night. (If you say do it, I will!)

Do it.

You can't beat the clean sheets that someone else put on the bed.....

  • pack some wine in your suitcase
  • strawberries
  • meal deal to re-energise
  • breakfast is extra in the morning (but you might want to keep that time and have brunch at home Wink )
  • someone else washes the strawberry-stained sheets Grin

um little advice from a fan of hotel sleepovers don't forget the blooming corkscrew Wink

bessiebumptious2 · 19/01/2016 00:22

Do it. And while you're at it, book the next 4 Fridays too. How can you regret it?

If you stayed at home, you'd get distracted and if you're investing in your relationship then all the more reason. It's important!

Sweetdreamsforall · 19/01/2016 00:22

Haha dh and I fantasise about doing this all the time, but we have no sitter! Cry cry.

Get some naughty new underwear for the occasion too! Wink

ValiantMouse · 19/01/2016 00:35

No, I've been thinking about booking a night away just so I can get some sleep!

MidniteScribbler · 19/01/2016 01:07

Do it. I'm a single parent, and I hire a babysitter and book myself a night in a hotel once every six months. I can have a lazy afternoon nap, long soak in the tub, glass bottle of wine and a sleep in the next morning.

There's nothing wrong with having a bit of time to yourself (with or without your partner).

sadwidow28 · 19/01/2016 02:26

Would you believe that I do it occasionally - and I am a widow?

I sometimes just need a little bit of TLC and human interaction (not sexy stuff - I go on my own). Clean sheets are simply dreamy!

Seren85 · 19/01/2016 03:19

Do it! Those beds are awesome and even if you send the kids out and stop at home there'll always be something you both notice and think needs doing. Go to aldi and buy some prosecco and enjoy a night off without responsibility.

BarbaraofSeville · 19/01/2016 07:17

Do it! May I also suggest looking at the Village Hotels. They often have offers like £20 a night, or even cheaper if you buy dinner and they have a spa, so go early and make a proper mini break of it.

VulcanWoman · 19/01/2016 07:54

Book it!

CocktailQueen · 19/01/2016 07:55

Do it! A great plan Grin

ChristmasZombie · 19/01/2016 08:00

Yes! Do it! And add on the Premier Breakfast, can't beat an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet!

MazzleDazzle · 19/01/2016 08:01

I love any excuse for a night away!

Glad you booked it. Enjoy!

Like a previous poster has said, def take your own bottle (or 2!), glasses and corkscrew. Also, candles, bubble bath etc.

lighteningirl · 19/01/2016 08:04

Doo it do it do it and buy the biggest sweetest stickiest desert to eat in bed

CheesyNachos · 19/01/2016 08:16

do it. :)

PeridotPassion · 19/01/2016 16:30

someone else washes the strawberry-stained sheets

If strawberry is the worst thing the hotel sheets are stained with, you're doing it wrong Grin

macnab · 19/01/2016 16:36

Oh definitely do it!

But I'm just curious as to what you're going to tell Granny and the teens? If you tell them the truth won't the kids be a bit 'eeeeuggh'? Will you have to make up a detailed lie about where you're going and why etc?

VulcanWoman · 19/01/2016 16:39

They'll just have to cringe Grin

LemonBreeland · 19/01/2016 16:43

Definitely do it. My eldest is 12 now and this seems to be worse than having toddlers.

Wantitallnightlong · 19/01/2016 21:04

I shall tell Granny the truth and the kids probably won't even miss us!

See my NN Wink

But I have a really good memory even after 14 years Grin

I could tell you about the 4-poster bed .... no I can't....

Then there was the night in the bath ..... ooops ... can't tell you about that either...

There was a balcony where we .... nope, that isn't appropriate either.
