To be feeling sorry for myself tonight

Dh is working til 4am at the earliest so just me and my 9mo in the house tonight.
I have already watched my corrie and an now at a loss what to do until the bells.. Think I might just go to bed.
I love my little baby but tbh... I'm so jealous of everybody out and about with friends tonight, even the ones that are just in the house with people.
I feel a bit lonely

Honestly, just relax and enjoy some time to yourself. Have a glass of wine or something and chill out.

NYE doesn't matter.

I'm in alone too as DP is working. It's dull but... At the risk of sounding a bit mawkish, DD is worth it on balance. Well, on a good day!

I've chosen to be alone tonight and not even the prediction of clear skies over London at midnight can tempt me to go out. If I can drag myself away from this site I'll be having an early night and hope the fireworks don't wake me.

So hAd a bath, snap chatted with a mate, watched a weeks worth of Corrie and flowers in the attic. Now waiting pizza.

I have done enough partying to last us all a lifetime,
Hogmanay before I was pregnant lasted 3 days.
It's GREAT having a non negotiable reason to stay in!
Chinese, jammies & a wee cider.
Fabulous!
Way more fun than fighting for a drink, paying double for taxis & standing outside in lashing rain getting hypothermia !

DH in bed and I'm watching a boxset, and opened a box of All Gold. I doubt I'll even notice the clock striking 12.

Same here! DP is working until 7am and my 2 year old twins will hopefully sleep through the awful fireworks that have been going off since 7pm.
I'm kind of enjoying it. Gin n Tonic, twiglets, chocolate orange and a slice of Xmas cake. All this needs to be eaten before the diets start on Monday so I've been telling myself im doing me & my DP a favour by eating it tonight!

I do know what you mean. Unless you have masses of family on the doorstep, or masses of money to throw at childcare, it's generally quite hard to maintain anything remotely like your previous social life once you have children. And some nights it just seems really shitty.

This is my 5th New Year in a row in, my 3rd in a row on my own with OH working. I minded it more before, but now I mind it a lot less. I've kind of got used to arranging nights out quite randomly, rather than around specific dates like NY and birthdays etc.

I suppose with a baby you don't feel confident having much of a drink when you're in on your own? At least as they get older you can have more wine...

I would love to be out with friends tonight, but circumstances have forced me to move back in with parents. I am single, friendless, and sat on my parents sofa playing Warcraft. I've been trying to get a job and move out for two and a half years. To be honest I'd love to be sat on my own sofa, in my own place, waiting for a partner to come home - sorry!

Happy fucking New Year. Here's hoping 2016 is better for everyone.

I'm amazed at the amount of my friends that are staying in this year.
Massive difference though between being content to sit in & wishing you were out,
That feeling where you think the rest of the world is out having a marvellous time is horrible, even if they probably aren't.

Yep also alone, like every other year. Sucks being a single parent at times but I know I'll feel smug in the morning when I'm fresh with no hangover and hitting the gym.

Over-rated and overpriced. I have stayed in for the past six. Currently enjoying reading MN in my fluffy dressing gown. Not often I get these minutes working ft with 3 young children.

Relieved I am not standing in a sweaty bar trying not to get too drunk. Hangovers and small children don't mix.

DH is already asleep.

I am feeling sorry for myself too. Came down with D&V this afternoon, in bed feeling rotten.

DH and DD keep asking me if I feel well enough to come downstairs. I just want to sleep.

Dh and I are both just having a quiet one this year. Had a big Xmas celebration and now we just want a bit of peace. Not everyone will be going all out, so don't feel too bad.

I have cracked open the thorntons now, things are getting wild..
This is my first New Year's Eve in years I have not worked so I suppose I should be grateful.
This time last year I was still waiting tables with my big fat pregnant belly and my swollen ankles haha, and all I could enjoy when I got home
Was a non alcoholic drink.
I think I'm just a bit meh this year because he is working in a bar where everybody will be all glammed up and looking hot then he will be coming home to me in my pjs and fluffy dressing gown.
Not feeling particularly hot since I had ds and this is probably partly why I feel a bit down I guess.

If it makes you feel better; I have DH here. However after dinner with my parents and watching some tv together, I am now in bed watching Netflix and he is on the PS4 downstairs and it suits us both fine 😊 Enjoy some peace and time to yourself, sharing the remote is overrated

I have a 12 year old who was staying out and I was meant to be going on a rare night out. Instead I'm minding a puppy with d & v that isn't even mine. And have only just poured a drink as I wasn't sure till now whether I'd need to drive back to the vets. My life is so glamorous.

I'm stopping over at my mom's house tonight and I'm hiding away upstairs whilst she's flirting with her ex-boyf downstairs

My lovely DS and DH are at our home, so I'm not even with them.

I'm staying at my mom's for reasons related to work and being a third wheel to her love life is certainly not a thrilling NYE
