To be feeling sorry for myself tonight

Dh is working til 4am at the earliest so just me and my 9mo in the house tonight.
I have already watched my corrie and an now at a loss what to do until the bells.. Think I might just go to bed.
I love my little baby but tbh... I'm so jealous of everybody out and about with friends tonight, even the ones that are just in the house with people.
I feel a bit lonely Xmas Blush

Why not celebrate when he is in?

For the first time in 5 years me and dh have new years eve together, for the first time in 13 months we have a baby sitting offer...

Lo and behold one very poorly 13 month old! So we are spending new years eve playing catch the vomit, stripping clothes and sheets and scrubbing various items of flooring.

Ach I'm just being an old misery guts, I just feel so boring at the moment, being on maternity leave I just feel like all I do is get up, feed baba, wipe his dirty bum, bath him dress him, repeat repeat repeat.. I don't feel like dh's sexy glamourous missus atm..

My DS is 21 months and I'm still not back to being a "sexy glamorous missus" Grin

I live in hope that I shall achieve it one day Grin

guajiraguantanamera · 31/12/2015 22:59

Just to clarify, I wasn't sexy or glamourous before, I dunno why I said that Wink
Na I used to occasionally feel sexy in the right clothes etc but having a baby has totally changed how I see
Myself. I always have a "mum bun" as my Dh calls it haha

I'm at home, my children are asleep and my DH went to bed at 10pm to watch world of tanks videos. Last night was meant to be our special night as we got rid of both kids, be he went upstairs at 9:30 to watch world of tanks videos.

I suspect that one of my NY resolutions is going to be to kick him up the arse. I'm sat here with just the dog who is dropping horrendous stink bombs and barking at the fireworks for company.

Writerwannabe83 · 31/12/2015 23:11

Is "World of Tanks" as boring as it sounds? Grin

Ditsy4 · 31/12/2015 23:13

I'm another one staying in. DH working away. Ds's all working and DD gone home. I live near a pub and went there last year but I have a nasty chest infection so coughing and wheezing and on medication. Christmas wasn't good either. Started with this Christmas Day though thankfully got the dinner made but I was in bed by 9.30pm. Best friend is away. So I put candles on lots of them, have some chocolate and a good fire. Watched a film but not sure weather I can be bothered to stay up. NY hugs to everyone especially the young mums with lovely squishy babies. The hardest job in the world but also the most wonderful. You might not think so some days but you will look back on it and think so.

I'm alone too. I don't do NYE. Last time I went out I ordered a drink and a guy took a swing at me. I don't fancy spending nights with a precious bank holiday after with people who are completely wasted. I drink but I don't get drunk. I can't get myself passed the 'the next drink is going to make me ill' stage so I stop. I'm a bit of a bore on NYE really Grin

CloakAndJagger · 31/12/2015 23:27

I call it world of wanks and yes, from what I can see it involves men shooting each other with tanks.

AnotherStitchInTime · 01/01/2016 00:23

Are you sure he is actually watching World of Tanks and not having a wank?

Wanking to tanks?

😉
