Anyone else HATE glitter Xmas cards????

I've been sent 3 so far. I fucking hate them. The first one caught me unawares. I opened it and it must have been about half a thimble full of silver and green glitter fell out of the envelope and scattered all over the BLACK work surface and floor. Work top cleaned up OK, but the floor Shock

Textured tiles. Have swept, vacuumed, washed, and can still see it hiding in the nooks and crannies. I have a dog, so not really really houseproud, but I am oh so slightly over obsessed Aarrrgghhhh! Give me muddy paws any day.

Glitter cards should be illegal.

They must piss others off too surely, or is it just me?

Just you so far.

Open cards gradually in future and chuck them and their wishes in the bin.

Love them. I have the glitter-tendencies of a drunk magpie, though, so anything spangly wins in this house.

Dh's dad has an obsession with getting the most amazingly tacky glittering cards. They are the highlight of my Christmas Grin

My DCs made their own cards this year and put glitter all over each and every one. It's still all over the floor tiles in our kitchen, I'm just going with the it's-christmas-everything-should-sparkle thing.

Love it. But i did have a relative that was prone to putting strange confetti type stuff in cards, to sprinkle out when you opened them. I may have filled her Christmas card with an entire jumbo packet of shiny stars one year in return.

Hate it with a vengeance. It's a control thing. I love christmas but the whole season is spoiled for me by glitter.

I love glitter too. Not a lot of glittery cards on offer this..was very disappointing so I used up my leftover stock from last year. I looked very sparkly after writing the cards

We did 5 cards earlier, my living room rug looks like a glitter bomb went off & we are both sparkling ...
