DP is a scooper, she will use tortilla chips and scoop salsa which is ok but in those little pots of dip you get she scoops 40%+ out on her first go.
It's like she's eating dip with a little bit of pizza crust and it drives me nuts, I feel like I twitch every time she does it.
AIBU to expect people to dip food in dips and not scoop?

If I get there first I'm scooping. If you get there first and scoop, you are a bastard!! Grin

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/11/2015 18:16

It is a dip, but I fear I'm a scooper.

TENDTOprocrastinate · 12/11/2015 18:17

Is that you DH??
YAbU.
Literal Dipping picks up very little dip! Wink

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 12/11/2015 18:22

Dipping for the win, makes the sour cream last longer:o

EponasWildDaughter · 12/11/2015 18:41

YANBU if you're meant to be sharing.

If you scooped the same amount the pot would be 80% gone after the first go each!

Jhm9rhs · 12/11/2015 18:51

I'm a scooper.

DriverSurpriseMe · 12/11/2015 18:53

Scooping is fine. It sounds like your DP just needs to work on her sharing skills Grin

Gruntled · 12/11/2015 18:54

Scooping is bad enough but not as bad as double-dipping after biting in half whatever it is they are eating and sticking it in again.

Booyaka · 12/11/2015 18:57

Dipping is for wimps

Specialsnowflake1 · 12/11/2015 19:04

Scoop! Every time.

If DH doesn't get in there in time that's his tough bananas!

Man up and SCOOP!

HelenaJustina · 12/11/2015 19:28

I have a scooper for a DH, I have in the past resorted to spooning half the dip onto my plate. I like dip on all my dippables whereas he would scoop up the lot on the first two crudités.

FireflyGirl · 12/11/2015 19:29

YANBU.

Next time, have your own pots but remember to eat 40% of hers first Wink

patterkiller · 12/11/2015 19:31

Here you go

It's called Dip not Scoop.
WheresMyBurrito · 12/11/2015 19:32

I'm totally a scooper. Sorry.

IoraRua · 12/11/2015 19:33

Definitely dipping here!

whois · 12/11/2015 19:34

I'm a scooper

GhettoFabulous · 12/11/2015 19:36

Where do we stand on double dipping?

NoonAim · 12/11/2015 19:37

I provide a teaspoon for each pot to avoid double dipping.

CatMilkMan · 12/11/2015 19:37

I'm going to start hoarding dips so I have some spare, you never know when you might let a scooper in to your house.

JenniferYellowHat1980 · 12/11/2015 19:37

Scooper here.

80sWaistcoat · 12/11/2015 19:38

It's one of those transitive verbs, I dip, he scoops, they double dip .

CatMilkMan · 12/11/2015 19:39

If it's just us 2 I don't think double dipping is a problem but guess what SHE DOUBLE SCOOPS.
