I'm doubting how unreasonable I wasn't being.

DP uses my shower brush to clean the bath.
I caught her doing it and thought it was weird and a bit gross, she thinks it's totally normal.
I use it to clean myself she uses it to clean the bath, was she being unreasonable? She said she won't do it again and had no idea I wouldn't want her to.

I think it depends.

If she had hot water on and was just swishing the remaining bubbles away with it and rinsing - I don't think that's that odd really. I don't think it would bother me that much.

However if she was full on cleaning the bath with bathroom cleaner and the brush, that's way ott and I wouldn't be very happy.

What is a shower brush?

I gather the problem has been solved. You don't agree to use that brush to clean the bath. She hasistened to you and agreed. What else do you want to happen?

It wasn't with bathroom cleaner but it wasn't just bubbles, she had a bath emptied it and then when it was dry turned the water on and used the brush to get rid of any dirt.

it is yours. you can ask for it to be used in accordance to your wishes. (within reason)

Ugh no. You have to clean your body with that, cleaning a dirty bath with it is gross. It's like washing yourself with a toilet brush (ok maybe not quite as assuming you don't shit in the bath) but still, no!

It's a bit weird using a back brush to clean the bath. Ask her not to. If she persists, tell her she's welcome to use her own things to clean whatever she likes, however she likes, but to please not mis-use your belongings.

YANBU. Yuk. I caught my DD cleaning the bath with her face flannel Shock Shock She knows how anal I am about flannels and faces and face washing. I was aghast. She wanted to be helpful as she saw me cleaning the sink with a cleaning cloth.

She's 5, btw Grin

That's grim, I would be really annoyed and it sounds like something my DP would do. Yes, the same DP who used my freshly laundered dish towel to mop up a spill on the floor and put it back on the counter

I always used to run round the bath with the back brush when I had baths. It's scrubbing away exactly the same dirt from the bath as it would be from your body. What's gross about it?

If you leave iron filing shavings around the sink when you shave (if you are indeed a man or very hairy lady), then she's equally justified in using yoru toothbrush to clear up after you.
