Watched 'Swing'. Bing is on the swing and along comes Pando who wants a turn. Long story short, Pando takes advantage and won't come off the swing at the end of his go. But....stupid Padget keeps pushing him, even though it's Bing's turn. Why didn't she just stop fucking pushing?

AIBU to ban this drivel in our house? It makes me see red every single time!

In the same place Joy keeps her stash Miaow, where it is though nobody knows. Must be a cbeebies hiding place.

TheTravellingLemon · 07/10/2015 18:11

I reckon Joy keeps her gin in a little plastic pouch concealed against her skin with a line directly into her veins.

wasonthelist · 07/10/2015 18:18

Is it me, or has the title been cleaned up since I first saw this? I thought this place was proudly sweary?

MiscellaneousAssortment · 07/10/2015 18:25

Thanks for pointing that out kungpo! I did indeed with one fell typo swoop make Bing sound like hard core porn Grin

"the 'no holes barred' parenting docusoap that is Bing
Suddenly this all sounds a lot more interesting. (phones police)"

I'm sorry BingBunnyDaddy Blush Grin

GloGirl · 07/10/2015 18:28

wasonthelist MNHQ has policy on no cunts in thread titles but you can use any other swear word.

David Cameron is an acceptable alternative to use Grin

EponasWildDaughter · 07/10/2015 18:53

@ bingbunnydaddy

Ahem ... may i just say, although i've slated Bing a couple of times on MN, my DD (20 months) is totally besotted with the programe and watches it every day. Shouts for it in fact! And yes, we too have ordered the cuddly figures for xmas Grin

(Tig is worse)

BrianCoxReborn · 07/10/2015 19:19

Bing and Pando do my head in.

But DS (2) roars with laughter at all the shenanigans, so I get a moment to arse about online clean up, so I can't hate it too much.

Especially can't hate it now I know that the Bing crew helped out with the stolen toy AND Bing's creator has taken time to come and join in.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 07/10/2015 20:15

Boooo, my child refused to be led into watching Swing this avo, no matter how much subtle and unsubtle persuasion I used. Boooo! We talked about the story as I was interested to know if DS thought Pando was being unfair, and hoping he'd agree we needed to re watch it to see, but annoyingly he had frame by frame total recall. Dratted children & their dratted memories!

blueteapot · 07/10/2015 21:59

What gets me is they can afford his airfare to go to all these places but his MakerPhone is made out of butter tub lids!

Haha I actually just laughed out loud at that. All the crap Mr Maker makes! Fake ice lolly made out of a washing up sponge to 'fool' your friends. Right then!

MrsP777x · 07/10/2015 23:02

blueteapot did you see the washing up glove one? Where they can make them into wolf hands etc. waste of a perfectly good pair of marigolds!

Strawberrybubblegum · 07/10/2015 23:04

OMG - I'm not the slightest bit into celebrity, but reading a message by bingbunnydaddy has made my day!

DD was obsessed with Bing for quite a long time, and I love it too. It's definitely got the best characterisation of all the cbeebies programs, and the stories are just right for a 2-year-old to understand more about the world. I still find myself explaining things to DD with 'you remember in Bing when...'

I'd actually always thought that Pando was fostered - since Padget is the only guardian who is a different animal to her charge - and that Padget's permissive parenting style was her being 'light-touch'. I'm a bit disappointed that she is 'nice but dim'! Agree that Coco is super-annoying though - but only in a fairly realistic way Grin But I can't understand how some of you hate Sula - she's clever, kind, sunny and fab!

I love the design - all of it really, but especially the interiors. Amma's house is so beautiful, and in that amazing park: I think I'd actually be willing to run a creche and a cafe to get a chance to live there!

Btw, re mister maker'maker's airfare - I bet it didn't actually cost that much. It's all filmed in just a few locations, so I reckon they just got a basic RTW ticket for him and a couple of crew (one cameraman and one sound person?). I don't know anything about TV though, so maybe it's all much more complicated Grin

MrsP777x · 08/10/2015 08:44

Oh I agree Strawberry, it's probably more cost effective than we think, just makes me laugh how they'll send him to all these places but give him 2 butter lids to use as a Maker Phone Confused, cutting costs at its finest!

Dsharris · 03/06/2016 07:32

Bing is so irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shakirawannabe · 03/06/2016 12:25

The one that I hate is when they are painting on the wall. My ds when I left him with his dinner for 30 seconds decided to put his hand in the ketchup and put handprints on the wall as I walked in he said 'look pretty flowers '!!

Angrythanks Bing

Juanbablo · 03/06/2016 13:38

This thread has really made me laugh. I say Joy in real life, as a real mother. It was so weird and my kids kept staring at her and eventually went and asked her if she was Topsy and Tim's mum! She was very normal and not all soppy and twattish like she is the programmes.

Juanbablo · 03/06/2016 13:42

And now I've had to search for and watch the Swing episode of Bing when ds2 isn't even interested in the stupid rabbit.

BeagBoo · 03/06/2016 13:52

Bing is responsible for one of my son's first words being statue...

PreciousVagine · 03/06/2016 13:57

shakira, we had a similar problem but in pen! I was upstairs for maybe 2 mins and came down to a beautiful "mural" on the wall. Thanks Bing!

Mumchatting · 12/04/2018 11:18

Lol very funny thread Smile
I agree that Swing episode is a complete disaster ( and so is the Sleepover episode). The lack of reaction, when Pando doesn't come off the swing, is unacceptable for me. Poor Bing for being blamed for Pando's rude behaviour.
If I was Bing's parent, surely I would let Pando's carer know that her behaviour wasn't quite right!
Same with Sleepover. Shouldn't Padget calmly lift Pando and carry him home? Especially that they live next door!!! (As seen on Darkness episode, they're neighbours!).
So she allowed Pando sleep in Bing's bed and what about her? Will she be sleeping also in Bing's house? All night? That's weird!
Very strange episode in my opinion.

But in general I think it's a good show for little ones. Both my kids love it! They scream and sing when they hear the theme song. We purchased few DVD's with Bing and watch it almost every day.

The Flop's constant calmness is another story...
Oh, and why Pando takes his trousers off in few episodes? I have no idea, but this really irritates me.

RDSD · 24/09/2021 11:53

I'm impressed you spelt that so perfectly, even though it made my skin crawl when I read it!

RDSD · 24/09/2021 11:54

I'm so relieved to find that it's not just me who hates Bing (and especially Pando and that useless, indulgent tool Padget). I feel less of a curmudgeonly loner.

TupilaLilium · 24/09/2021 12:02

We think the little ones are carers for the big ones who all have serious emotional disorders. Some serious traumatic event happened in the big world, and now they have to be cared for by the small ones. They live in some kind of high-end, therapeutic village

Have you seen the coffee episode? No one not on a very good salary, possibly being monitored with CCTC, would behave as selflessly as Flop.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 24/09/2021 12:06

This thread has been providing support and solace to Panda/Padget haters for 5 years now!

I thank God my Bing days are behind me.

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 24/09/2021 13:00

This whole programme used to make my eyeball twitch and me feel murderous. Who tf wrote this shite?
