To want to stop watching Doctor Who because...

...it keeps making me have dirty dreams about Peter Capaldi? It happened last year, watched the first episode of the new series on Monday and last night there he was again. I've always liked him as an actor but never like that There's just something about him as the Doctor!

But really, someone tell me I'm not alone in finding him oddly attractive even though he's just about old enough to be my father

(Obviously light hearted, I know this is not a real problem at all!)

Haha, you're one of them are you? I've seen other MNers getting themselves into a right old lather over old Pete. I adore him as Malcolm Tucker but could never see the appeal myself. As Doctor Who, I've had a few 'hmm, see what you mean' moments but I'm still a Matt Smith girl

I don't get it. I seem to be the only one who's stopped watching because I think he's a rubbish Doctor. I mean, he's certainly not hard on the eyes, but was sexier as MT (I have a thing for angry older men, total Daddy issues ). As the Doctor though, nope, nothing. Now if David Tennant's doc have Matt Smith's doctor's personality... I don't think any man could measure up to that!

What's wrong with that? I personally don't find any of them physically attractive yes, even Tennant but there is something about the character. He's a flawed superhero. Not too perfect. Surely the dirty dreams are just like having a more adult Doctor Who Extra!

He's a bloody brilliant Doctor and I've really enjoyed his episodes.

Not sure I fancy him though. But I think I have developed a teeny weeny girl crush on Missy...

It's a Doctor thing. Any actor taking that role might aswell smother themselves in chocolate for me

No-one can match David Tennant for me in either Doctoriness or swooniness (yes those are actual words ), but coming in a close second tie with Tom Baker as the Doctor. There is something quite dirrrrty about him too, have to admit.

I am firmly a David Tennant girl - the SDTG in my nickname stands for Staying David Tennant's Girl - I changed to that when Matt Smith became the Doctor.

I think there's something about the Dr that makes the actor more appealing. I'm currently pregnant and I've been rewatching various episodes. I wont go into any detail about the dreams post the DT / MS multi appearances

Eeew eew eeew eew. YADBU I can't think of fewer Dr who actors I'd less like to do. YANBU about wanting to stop watching though. Capaldi is awful.

I've fancied Capaldi for years and years so I'm loving Dr. Who. Particularly as I stopped watching when Matt Smith was the Doctor, sorry, I felt he was more wooden than Thetford bloody forest!

I might stop watching because that first episode was so rubbish.

It could have been so good. The hand mines. Missy. That snake man.

But it was so bad. The guitar. The tank. The crap jokes. The boring story.

The last series was bad overall, but this series looks like it's getting worse.

I like spotting all the references, lots of JK in this one. The guitar was good, he plays a mean theme tune!

I agree this new series and the last weren't a patch on the earlier ones (esp DT) but that's because of bloody Stephen Moffat and the awful Clara character imho. PC is being wasted.

I get a warm glow inside every time i see him after having a dream about him a few weeks ago. We met and there was an instant physical attraction, but as we are both married we knew that nothing could happen between us.
I swear, the way he looked at me as he gently touched my cheek and a lifetime of unspoken words passed between us was THE most romantic moment of my life

YANBU to stop watching but your reason should be because it was utter shite this week.

David Tennant will always be "my" Doctor, but I like Capaldi ok. I HATE Clara. I wish Mr. Pink was still on the show. I quite liked him.

I've had a lot of dirty Malcolm Tucker dreams. I wouldn't like a dirty 12th Doctor dream as I fear Clara would appear at the climax and I'd vom all over him...

I like Clara. Still haven't been entirely won over by Capaldi as The Doctor though. Loved David Tenant by a few episodes in and Matt Smith by the end of his first episode but Capaldi just isn't doing it for me.

Capaldi is MINE. I'm only a few years younger than him and I am prepared to commit acts of utter filth with him.

Ooh so far it seems I am the only one laying claim to Eccleston! My favourite Doctor by far.

I heard him at a deli counter years ago (the whole shop heard him ) charming the young assistant.
