To want to stop watching Doctor Who because...

...it keeps making me have dirty dreams about Peter Capaldi? Blush It happened last year, watched the first episode of the new series on Monday and last night there he was again. I've always liked him as an actor but never like that Blush There's just something about him as the Doctor!

But really, someone tell me I'm not alone in finding him oddly attractive even though he's just about old enough to be my father

(Obviously light hearted, I know this is not a real problem at all!)

He is the worst, weakest doctor ever!
Matt Smith was fabulous, young and old all at once, he just IS the Doctor.
(But I would wouldn't kick DT out of bed either)
Blush

I don't think PC is the worst Doctor ever, but it has taken us a whole season as a family to get used to him. My DS was enthralled by MS almost before the end of his monologue when he regenerated from DT and he is his Doctor. I have an enormous soft spot for him but more in a maternal way, although I reckon he'd be the most experimental in the dirty dreams department Grin

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 25/09/2015 11:41

Ah OP welcome to the dark side! Peter Capaldi is the hottest man to walk the earth and having dirty dreams about him is good!

And I'm another who didn't take to Matt Smith.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 25/09/2015 11:42

And his hands are soooooooooooo beautiful Blush

LadyBaelish · 25/09/2015 19:26

God, sorry it's taken me so long to return to this thread! I'm glad I'm not alone Grin And YES Livia there's definitely something about the hands! I'm loving the longer fluffy hair too, I want to ruffle it Blush

70 I met Tom Baker this summer, quite possibly the greatest moment of my life Grin Lovely, lovely chap.

Definitely THE rather lust-worthy Doctor in my eyes.

bialystockandbloom · 26/09/2015 17:33

Oh trionic so jealous! He lives near my mum and she's often seen him but we never have. It would make my, and ds's, LIFE if we met him. We were also in my mum's village shop in the summer and the shopkeeper told us John Barrowman had been in the day before. So near and yet so far…

We did once see Rod and Jane (or maybe it was Freddy) of Rod, Jane and Freddy fame in Cafe Rouge there though. It's a celebrity hot spot round her way Grin

AliceScarlett · 26/09/2015 17:41

Utterly ridiculous question here: Is there a certain age where it becomes OK to fancy Capaldi? Basically, is it weird because I'm 30 and not 50ish? As in closer to his age? Blush

MitzyLeFroof · 26/09/2015 17:51

I'm sure there are a fair few 30 something women on MN who enjoy carnal knowledge of 50 something men.

So not, not even slightly weird.

QueenStromba · 26/09/2015 18:28

I'm 33 and Hugh Laurie is 56 - I would definitely enjoy some carnal knowledge of him.

EverythingsShinyCaptnNotToFret · 26/09/2015 19:37

Jon Pertwee is my Dr. (yes I am really that old). He is the one I always had dreams about when I was a teenager, even when Tom Baker came along. I've met Jon several times and he was such a lovely human being. I was so sad when he died.

Of the modern Dr.'s no one can beat Christopher Eccleston, lots of dreams to be had there that might also involve a bit of John Barrowman Grin

Moomintroll85 · 26/09/2015 20:20

As Dr Who? Meh, no thanks. As Malcom Tucker on the other hand... Blush

AliceScarlett · 26/09/2015 22:12

Yay for not being weird :)

CrabbyPatties · 26/09/2015 23:00

I met Colin Baker once..no erotic dreams..funny that Hmm

revealall · 26/09/2015 23:11

Eccleston here. Also Barrowman. Finding out about the Face of Bo was amazing. He like actually could be a god...

ghostyslovesheep · 26/09/2015 23:15

I met Tennant my god that man is fine - but I am a Matt Smith fan

I love PC I loved him in In The Thick Of It - I do like him at The Doctor but my erotic dreams are still all Mr Chinny

I have to say though - if they actually replace the screwdriver with sunglasses I am out - come on people it's getting silly

QueenStromba · 28/09/2015 16:17

If the screwdriver isn't back next week there'll be trouble.

bialystockandbloom · 28/09/2015 17:23

Agree, wtf are the sonic sunglasses about ffs?

crabby I'd call that a lucky escape Grin

Fluffyears · 28/09/2015 17:33

David tennent will always be my favourite, cheeky and slightly mad always works for me. Math smith was awful and wooden. I'm not a fan of capaldi as The Dr but live Malcolm Tucker. I love his insults especially when he calls someone a 'fucking human mooncup' Grin or refers to a disaster as like 'watching a clown run across a minefield'.

catsrus · 28/09/2015 17:42

I watched the very first episode EVER with Hartnell and was instantly hooked. This means that all fantasies of the early doctors were of me as companion - I fancied the Beatles not old men Grin. With the reboot this time round they were all too young. Loved CE, DT AND MS - but in "they're such lovely boys" kind of way.

Until PC. Finally.

So how exactly does one call up these erotic dreams OP?
